TW Steel TWCE1024 wrist watches news:
Ironically enough I was just thinking about BLU, and what ever happened to it? The cool high-end brand did some neat stuff with dials, but I haven't heard anything about them in at least a year or two. Well now I know. BLU's Bernhard Lederer is (BLU = Bernhard Lederer Universe) is on to other projects, and this is it - The Gagarin Tourbillon. To remind you, I last wrote about BLU here (about two years ago). Anyhow, on to The Gagarin Tourbillon. Yes, this watch is an homage to Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. He was blasted into orbit via the Russian Vostok-1 rocket (Vostok is also the name of a watch brand but little coincidence!), and then orbited around a bit before coming back down. The Gagarin Tourbillon tries to memorialize this with a tourbillon that acts as a satellite around the dial of the watch. It travels over city names and places like the original satellite did. The tourbillon is a one minute tourbillon, and it revolves around the dial once each 108 minutes. Why 108 mi
These started selling in Japan this month.....What do you think?
I am in the market for a new watch, and I am looking for the following functions:I do a fair amount of air travel for my job live in Central time zone, and do more then half of my travel to Eastern time zone, and a smaller percentage to Mountain and Pacific. Do the atomic watches, particularly the G-Shock Aviators, adjust to local time automatically when you land/step off the plane each time?Do the atomic watches adjust for Daylight Saving Time? (I assume they do)A pet peeve of my previous watches was a date (day of month) display that had to be reset at the beginning of every month. Do the atomic watches with that little day-of-month window automatically adjust at the first of the month? The website say the G-Shocks are "Tough Solar Power", I assume this means that it never needs a battery? The video on the G-Shock website makes it look like a very bright light for low-light viewing, anyone have experience with this?I am considering the GW4000-1AAviation - GW4000-1A | Casio - G-Shock
Hope this is the place for a welcome
Greetings to all of youI'm mostly a silent reader of this forum and have been bitten by Rolex bug recently. I'm looking to buy a day-date model. With my budget constraints, I'm looking into second hand market (mostly 1803/18038 model as they're cheaper). I wonder if its possible to authenticate them by some store/expert than sending them to Rolex Service center? My location is Central NJ.Thanks for all your help.P.S.: this is the watch which caught my eye- swissangeles/rolex-men-s-...nd-18038-model
