Panerai IDNO19256 wrist watches news:
The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry reports that the value of Swiss watch exports to the U.S. market declined in February by 47.5% compared with February 2008 levels. For the first two months of 2009, the value of exports to the U.S.A. is down 38% compared with the same period last year. Hardest hit were watches priced at 500 to 3000 Swiss francs (about $445 to $2670 at press time), sales of which were down by more than 40% in terms of both units and value. Exports of watches priced at 200 to 500 francs or $178 to $445 were down about 33%.Watches priced above 3000 francs fared best, registering a decline of 6.6% by value and a bit over 10% in units. Based on materials, as might be expected, steel watches were the hardest hit with exports down about 29% based on units and value. Gold/steel bimetallic watches were off about 37% based on units and value. Exports of platinum watches increased 9.7% by value while falling 13% measured in units. When it comes to the world of vintage divers, Seiko sits at the top with some of the very best. That's no exaggeration. Few brands can boast a history as storied as Seiko's when it comes to divers, a history that began in earnest in 1965 when the brand released their first dive watch, the 6127 (62MAS). In the decades that followed, Seiko would build upon this legacy with the 6215 (and subsequently, the hi-beat 6159)¡ªSeiko's first divers rated to 300m¡ªto be followed by the 6105 (made iconic on Martin Sheen's wrist in Apocalypse Now), the 6309/6306, and the 007¡ªthe current benchmark of affordable divers everywhere.? And the above list simply scratches at the surface; Seiko's historical catalogue of divers goes deep.source: WUS In recent years, Seiko's vintage divers have gained a relatively robust following. Or rather, that following has become more mainstream, since it would be unfair to discount all the Seiko diehards who have loved the brand and its watches long before today's vi

Okay now that I'm getting PP owners enabling me for the 5167, I need to see some wrist shots of the Rubber Clad. So those of you guys that have one please post pics!
I walked into my local Omega boutique and started chatting up the young salesman. I am new to the watch game and haven't purchased anything from this boutique expect a NATO strap for my PO. I usually pop in when I see this particular guy working because he is really cool, and I am uncomfortable with boutiques otherwise. He mentioned that they have 2 silver snoopy watches. This is my grail watch. I would wear that thing rain or shine. The catch is that they are waiting for one of their good customers to call asking for one. He also said they would probably sell it to someone if they were to buy a side of the moon watch as well. I would buy the Snoopy in a heartbeat, but I could not really afford both since I just bought a GMT. I'm not upset because I understand the whole best customer practice, and I really don't have a relationship with the boutique. I just hope the people who buy them are going to love it as much as I would.
