It's been quite some time since we've written about Steinhart, the German brand known for producing some of the most affordable Swiss-made watches on the market. But a few days ago, the company sent out a press release that caught our collective attention. Frogman Chrono--New Member
I was recently given a frogman as a gift. The second hand on the watch does not move, but the watch keeps time. The chronograph does not work. Is there something that must be done before these features begin to work, or is my watch a dud? I have not been able to find anything online and there is no authorized dealer / repair shop near me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First automatic worries?
I have just purchased my first automatic, a citizen ny0054, and I love it. From my research its a great value for the money. I have been wearing it for about 2 weeks now and have a concern. When I make swift movements with my watch arm I can feel the auto winding movement in there really zinging. When Im using a shovel, flicking the water off my hands after washing, ect. Should I remove my watch for such tasks? Im hoping the movement can handle it.

5522A AR Coating?
I received a 5522A a couple weeksago (Love it). But as I just look at it over and over I realized the crystal has a hairline scratch in it. It is so small you can feel it and I am not completely sure it not on the underside of the crystal. I have some Scratch Genie for watches that is supposed to be able to polish sapphire crystal so I though of giving it a try. The only problem is I don¡¯t know if there is an AR coating on it. It looks to me like there isn¡¯t but the watchmaker at my AD said there was...there is no blue at all in the reflection. I really don¡¯t want to send it to Patek to get fixed for 3 or 4 months so I am considering trying this but obviously a little nervous about it. It did come with this slight scratch but most people wouldn¡¯t notice it.What are your thoughts?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
