Seiko SSC318 wrist watches news:
My Dad received this watch from his parents for an engagement present. He got engaged in November 1949. So it is most likely from somewhere between 1947 to 1049. Unless he is confused and it was actually a wedding present (1951) or even a high school graduation gift (41?). But he is pretty sure that it was an engagement gift.Does anyone know what it is?And what about the band. It says 14kt on the clasp. Was this a standard band back then or was this some kind of an upgrade at the time?I do know why he never wore the watch though (I plan to). It is a royal pain in the ass to do the clasp with one hand!!!!IMG_5302.jpgIMG_5298.jpgIMG_5307.jpg
Hi, I just recently purchased a pre-owned ROO (well girlfriend kinda ended up biting the bullet as a present)[img]imgur/mrG0J33[img]and I find that the strap is WAY too short for me (I am a very big guy), anyone know where I can get either a rubber strap or a new horned back for it?I would also need a longer sized one, any recommendations from vendors that you have dealt with would be lovely! Thanks :)
As we all know how classic the SS Jumbo is which retains so much DNA from the original A series designed by Genta. the RG jumbo on the other hand is truly something else, the blue dial executed just perfectly with rose gold. needless to say here are a couple wrist shots for you guys
So, my search for a DSSD Blue proved to be fruitless as expected. A few positive leads turned up no result.I was expecting similar success with sourcing the Panerai I was after as it has not long been released, a few enquiries in and no joy, I then walked into the final AD and there it was sitting in the display case Anyone care to guess what I went for?
As some of you might recall a week ago I picked up my new SD43 which I am over the moon with. One thing I did notice is that the owners manual says Sea-dweller 4000 on it. Odd I thought isn¡¯t that the old one. So I googled a few images and they seemed to confirm that the manual was the same. So I was happy Rolex hasn¡¯t sent me a manual out of the parts bins. Today I saw another photo of two for sale at grey dealers and the manual both just say Sea-Dweller. Is there a correct manual or is there a mix and it¡¯s pot luck what you get. Has anyone else noticed this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
