Lionel Ladoire launched his eponymous company in 2007 and his first timepiece is an audacious effort. He refers to it as the UFO of watchmaking, and the company’s press materials acknowledge that this piece leaves no one indifferent. It may not come as a surprise that Ladoire is a surfer and a rock drummer as well as a talented young watchmaker. If you saw him on the street, you would not think “I bet he’s a horologist.” Others claim to be nonconformists; Ladoire walks the walk. Ladoire’s creation is called the Roller Guardian Time, or RGT, and at 56 x 45 x 16.3mm, this uniquely-shaped timepiece makes a striking statement on the wrist. The shape has been likened to that of a pebble, and the analogy is apt. The asymmetric shape is soft, organic, and surprisingly balanced. 1917 Hamilton 940, Serial #1422060 very good condition what is it worth??
Hello everyone I am new to this so bare with me. The Hamilton pocket watch is brass the crystal is in pristine condition and aside from a few minor scratches on the back side, it is appears to be a very nice watch. Based on the serial # my limited research showed it as having been made in 1917, please correct me if I am in error. I took it into a watch repair shop and the owner who was very familiar with it, took it apart and after inspected the internal components he told me that the watch was in exceptionally fine condition. It has a brass chain on it as well. In side it indicated that it was made in Lancaster PA. please correct me if I am interpreting that information correctly.Please forgive my lack of knowledge as to the proper terminology regarding the components of the watch. I look forward to any additional information that any of you can provide me. It is a family keepsake, so it will not be put up for sale, but I would like to know what it's estimated worth is? Patek 5164 on nato
I just picked up the 5164a and while I love the rubber strap, I really wanted to dress it down even further and put it on an extra black leather nato strap I had. It is incredibly comfortable and think the 5164 looks better this way than even my Sea Dweller. Comments welcome.

Hello Chaps, with the great assistance of TempoKing, I finally pulled the trigger on a GMT Master II that I have been chewing on for a year or so since I sold the Explorer II that I Bought from Gagan (another S&G). Great transactions with both and thrilled to have a Rolex back on my wrist. TempoKing even put in my green date wheel gratis. What a guy!!!The build quality of fit and finish of Rolex just puts a smile on my face. I work in aviation and what we can do with metal is just incredible and probably slants my view of manufacturing and metal finishes. I didn't think the Explorer really suited me. But I am loving the GMT and the PSLs. I have many pilot friends with various GMTs and coveted them. No longer!
