- The watch displays the date and day of the week, but both adults in my household were unable to change the day of the week display to the correct day. Yes, we read the directions.

Bedat & Co 315.010.100 wrist watches news:
I am very close to purchasing a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Adjust. It was between this and an Omega. I have been wearing a Cartier for the last 18 years and it's "time" for a change (no pun intended)I am in Toronto, Canada and the watch I am looking at is a mid size (31mm), steel and 18K jubilee bracelet, with fluted bezel and silver and diamond face. The retail price I have been quoted in every store is identical $10,370.My question is, what is the reasonable discount I should be able to get off that retail price. No one seems to want to discuss price until I am ready to buy and I'm not ready to buy until someone will discuss price. I'm just not sure how far I can push to get the best deal.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I bought a Tag Heur watch 3 weeks back and somehow managed to inflict a fine hairline scratch on the side of the case while I was polishing it with a piece of tissue. I would have thought stainless steel would be more resistant than tissue paper but apparently that was not the case here.Anyway! The scratch is particularly glaring because the steel casing is a polished surface rather than a brushed one. Were I to bring the watch to the Tag repair centre, would they be able to conjure magic to erase the scratch or would they (god forbid) need to change the whole casing? This watch also happens to be one of those gimmicky limited edition ones, so in the extremely unfortunate event that a case replacement is necessary, I'm not sure if finding spare parts for it would be a problem.
How cool
I have been wanting to buy this clasp for two years now but haven't bc of the price, but I just bit the bullet!! It is being shipped now, the pics below are off the web but I'll post my own once the clasp is in. I want to give a shout out to Jim at Continental Jewelers in DC. He is Fr. John's contact and the guy is an absolute pleasure to do business with, I highly recommend him to anyone.
Was watching a commercial for the new George Clooney movie called The American when I noticed a small clip of the Speedy he was wearing. Thought he was the ambassador for the PO. Anyway, can anyone identify which model Speedy? I've never been any good at figuring out the differences. Sorry for the bad iPhone pic. The frame was in HD from DVR.
