Bedat 718.011.510 wrist watches news:
Hey guys !While looking around for some other things I came across the name of American inventor Eugene Fitzue Badgley of Brooklyn, New York.On April 3, 1866 (almost 146 years ago) Eugene was granted a design patent for the "improvement in safeguards for watches".I find this design to be EXTREMELY historically important and light years ahead of it's time. While the design of Eugene's invention was not intended to be worn on the wrist how long do you think it took somebody to figure out that the wrist would be a great spot for it's use ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?146 years ago ! ! ! !His design was intended for "a mode of securing watches, lockets and other valuables to the person, thereby rendering it impossible for pickpockets to ply their vocation"His exact wording. He did not design the case, the watch or anything else, just the securing device.Take a look at the bow on one end, the hook on the other end and the length of the strap ! ! The strap length even looks to be adjustable.I wonder what
Whilst out shopping yesterday, I tried on a B2, which I really liked. When asked, the AD offered a 10% discount. On checking up when I got back home, I found that this is a discontinued model. Is 10% reasonable or should be more?I particularly liked the B2 "brushed" or "matte" finish. Are there any other Breitlings with a similar finish rather than the highly polished finish? Thanks,C
Hi everyone first of all I just would like to introduce myself to the forum as this is my first post. My name is Mike I'm from PA and always wore a hand me down quartz Tag from my dad, until recently! Last week a friend of mine decided he needed to dump some watches from his vast collection. I was fortunate to pick up two watches from him both IWC. One is the port chrono & the other is the 7 day reserve port. The downfall is both are white face, blue hands, & blue strap, which I'm not crazy about but the deal was too good to pass up. I plan on keeping the 7 day reserve as I like the bigger face & the deployment clasp. To start I was wondering what authentic IWC straps cost as I would like to change it to black. Also, is it possible to get the dial & hands changed to different colors, looking to get the black face and stainless hands. If this is possible any idea how much these things run? In regaurds to the port chrono I know for a fact it was purchased from T
Sorry for the crappy pics, I saw on april's issue of GQ France that a speedmaster 39mm blue panda dial is coming
I'm new to watches. I own two watches and one of them is a g-shock for working out and handywork around the house. I had a big year, both personally and professionally, and wanted to reward myself. Thanks to a lot of research and lurking on this fantastic forum I decided on a SubC 114060 that I purchased from a trusted seller back in August 2017. I love my SubC. It's incredibly well made and could be my only big boy watch for the rest of my life (who am I kidding )Since I purchased the watch I have received about 6 compliments on it from friends and work colleagues. One colleague said it's the most tasteful Rolex they had seen and that he was in the market for a Rolex. Another said nice watch, those go with anything.Another friend just said damn nice watch!. And it goes on...So all good responses and no outward jealousy, but it still makes me blush a little, and I'd be lying if it didn't make me slightly uncomfortable for others to comment on my watch. I wear the watch on my
