Let me first start off by saying I love my 16610LV and it has almost been my daily wear for the last 6 years. It is a D-series that I bought new from an AD that has long been closed like many other AD's that have closed over the recent years.Today, I got a 116610LV from an AD which I hopefully will establish a good relationship with as with my old AD. When I first saw and tried on the 116610LV two summers ago (at another AD), it did not strike me that much. It did not yell "take me home!" to me, nonetheless, I did not dislike it. Well, fast forward to today, I suppose my taste has changed as I am getting not younger. My only regret is that I did not grab the 116610LV when I first had the chance which was two price increases ago!I will give my LV a much deserved break and I will now use the LVc as my daily wear.Anyway, here is a pictorial (since I am not as an eloquent writer as John and most of you) comparison of the old-school and current LVc. Thought I'd share and somebody may find usefullThis is about my attempt to clean up brushed parts of my SMP 300 bracelet with Scotch 3M product. This is not my idea, i picked it up a while ago from some gentleman on the web who also wrote some reviews on SMPs and Submariners. I was reading this about 3 years ago when my SMP was still all fresh and new.Today my SMP is well used and have a lot of age marks, so passing by this Scotch thing in the Walmart, i thought i will give this a try. Anyway, here are some pictures with results.Before (i only took before picture after finishing one half, so on this one one half is done and one is 'before', in process (i was covering polished parts of the bracelet with tape), and after. I didn't polished the small parts of teh bracelet in between two polished bars, and haven't tuched the polished parts at all, but even said, i have impression that my SMP bracelet looks freasher after this process. Hi Everyone. I am looking to purchase my first Rolex, and the one that caught my eye right off the bat was the GMT Master II 116710 BLNR. Unfortunately, that is also a very popular model, and I have heard some crazy wait times. Some promise to have it delivered by the end of the year, others are saying the wait list is 1-2 years, and a lot of retailers in Toronto wont even bother taking a deposit due to the excessive wait time's. As a new Rolex Buyer, I had a few questions for you guys:1) What are your thoughts on this watch?2) Are wait time's like these common? (I live in Toronto)3) If I put the deposit down now, am I locked in for the current asking price of $10,200 CAD, or is it possible that if Rolex increases the price, I will be paying the new updated priceThanks for your help!
