- I love this watch. The all black color is what I've been looking for with a decent price to match. And the indiglo works well too. Recommend this time piece for anyone getting that G look.

Some time ago I was lucky enough to build my own divers watch. I found a brand new Seiko Sumo case from a WIS in the US, got a Sumo movement from Noah in Hong Kong, got an original Seiko Marine Master dial and set of hands from Rob in the Netherlands and found an original Sumo bracelet from an Italian WIS. The result was a Sumo watch with the dial and hands of the Seiko Marine Master that I thought was awesome. I was happy for a few months, until recently when I noticed that I was kind of getting bored with that combination. I started my cogwheels spinning again to figure out what I could do. I generally like classicaly styled watches and therefore I was trying to conceive what I could do to make a change that would keep the beauty of the watch intact but change the overall look. Help came once again from Rob (Monsterwatch) from the Netherlands, he had an original set of Seiko Alpinist hands. I ordered them, they arrived and I installed them. The result? Well see below. I think
I was looking at a old video about the Finnish "1000 lakes" rally from 1968 on youtube when I saw a stopwatch marking the seconds before a car started but it was not sweep-hand. As far as I remember quartz watches started to circulate around 1970 something what was that then?Is the video not original or did there exist non-sweep hand mechanical or electric stop-watches in 1968?
