Are they real?
How do some internet companies sell Rolex watches for considerably less money than others?I see so many sites that insist that their product is 100% authentic, but for thousands of dollars less. I have also seen websites from China that sell Rolex hang tags, boxes and paperwork only. Many of the auction items claim to have all the proper supporting documentation. Are there that many fakes being passed off as real watches? Are legitimate buyers being duped regularly?

The Electrics!
This was an interesting period in American watch manufacturing. It was rather short-lived and the American watchmakers thought these watches were going to compete well against the on-coming surge of quartz technology, so much so that companies invested much of their futures into the technology. Hamilton was very successful with their line, but it was to little, to late. They had some great asymetrical cased beauties that are expensive and getting harder to find on the vintage market. They also produced their own in-house movements for the most part. Bulova of course had their very popular "tuning fork" electric watches, the Accutron series, which remain very popular today, but the parts are getting hard to source. Extremely accurate movements.Benrus entered the fray with a number of different watches starting with the "TechniQuartz" which used the LIP movement from France and then moved onto the Citation series which used ESA movements. I have an insurance related question. Is there anyone on the forum that is qualified to give appraisals on watch values that could be provided for insurance coverage? If not, where did you go to get this for your insurance policy? For good measure, do you bother insuring your collection? Who do you use if so?Thanks guys and gals!
