What would you choose in the situation?
Ladies and GentlemanAlready own a SD and GMT II & currently have deposit laid down for a Green Sub LV.However, I've been getting a real sense of nostalgia recently viewing films like The Deer Hunter and Revenge (starring Kevin Costner) to get plenty of views in for the classic black submariner. I am more of a "date" man anyway so the non-date has never really been an option for me, but if you were to choose between a LV Sub or the black sub-date, where would your decision lie and what would be your reasons? My initial line of thinking was I've already got a SD, so a sub-date would look close to identical hence the deposit on an LV, but recently seeing so much exposure of the classic sub-date has messed with my mind and i'm in state of limbo. I pre-empt some of you will say "go for both" and while that is an option i'm more keen to hear views from a persective of a choosing of only one of these beauties.So people, is it the LV or the classic sub-date?Look forward to hearing what peo

$360.00 to fix my MIYOTA movement?
I have a 10 year old Citizen ss chrono w/ a dive bezel that just stopped working, I thought it was a battery, so I gave it to my local jeweler, and he said water must have got into it and messed up the movement and it would be $360.00 to fix it. The watch was about $200.00 10 years ago, but it does has sentimental value, I'm stumped! Opinions?

Getting Service From a Different Dealer
Still waiting for my boat to come in with my first watch (BLNR) but I was curious about service and warranty work. If I end up finding a watch outside my area such as on vacation, etc and I buy it, do I simply use my local ad for service and warranty work? What if I was to buy a watch in Europe let's say and two weeks later it stops working when I'm back home?I can't see where my local ad would be happy to help me with a watch I purchased somewhere else. Is this a known issue or are they treated like car warranties where your expected to take it to any authorized dealer?Hopefully I'll end up buying locally and this won't be an issue but you never know. Thanks

New member seeking advice on first purchase
New member here and although I'm not a Rolex owner yet I'm looking to make my first purchase but of course it happens to be one of most popular watches Rolex makes. The GMT BLNR.I wish to make my first purchase from an AD and recently visited my local dealer here in the San Francisco Bay Area and although treated very well, he advised that he has a waiting list of 7 people for this watch which of course didn't surprise me. Because they only receive a few of these a year it looks like it'll be difficult to come by. Although I know it'll take time to find one, are there any suggestions as to the best way to ultimately get one with an AD? I thought about asking my AD to add me to his waiting list in the hope's that a few on the list my have found a watch elsewhere. Is it suggested that I visit several AD's here in the Bay Area and get on several different lists or is that frowned upon? As a side note, I have a previously scheduled vacation next month to Europe which includes Paris, Zurich
