Blancpain 2285 F 1130-7 wrist watches news:
This is a watch that I could really see myself wanting - even though it has a carbon fiber dial that I tend to not always enjoy (though I did like it on my Tissot T-Touch Expert). Yes, this has been a month of many Omega watches, but they have had some interesting releases so they merit the attention. This is probably my favorite. I've often looked at the classic Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch and thought, "yes it is cool, but I'd really like a modern version." Yes, it is true that my sentiment defeats the point of the "Moon Watch heritage," but I didn't really want to have a manually wound watch with a Hesalite (plastic) crystal to deal with. My collection might very well include a Moon Watch in the future, but it would be for historic kicks, not cause I'd want to wear it each day. Omega has released a ton of Speedmaster watches over the years with sapphire crystals and automatic movements, but this new Solar Impulse watch just really catches my eye.Let's get the whole Sola
I hope you guys/gals enjoy this collection of 30 images that will make you love AP even more. .watchcollectinglifestyle....guet-even-more
As far as I know, the now old RO 15202 was pretty much the steel Nautilus 5711 of AP. In other words, it was a model that had a limited production, definitely lower than market needs. It was more expensive than the readily available 15300ST, and it was virtually impossible to find in most ADs and even AP Boutiques (please correct me if I talk rubbish). And unless I'm wrong, it was possible to special order a 15202 with a custom-made gold rotor, for of course a few thousands USD extra. Is that still the case with the new 15202? If one has to order and wait months for a 15202 anyway, and it costs considerably more than its readily available counterpart (15400ST now), then if one has the funds then why not order it with a special, unique rotor? Or does it only work if you order at least 10 similar pieces in a batch? Did anyone order a 15202 (old or new model) with a custom made rotor? It would be great if you could share your experiences in getting a 15202 brand new, from an AD or Bout
Apologies if this is the wrong area for this question, so mods, please feel free to move if this should go in the classified section.I am considering selling a few of my Omega watches to fund the purchase of another Rolex. In particular, my Omega Planet Ocean Ref 2201.51. I am the original owner and still have the original box, manual and warranty cards. Does anyone know what a fair price to ask would be and whether or not I should have the bracelet refinished through Omega prior to selling? Images below for reference:PO3.jpgPO4.jpgPO1.jpg
Just as promised by my out-of-state AD, a new 39.2mm Railmaster arrived at my door earlier today. Share the moment . . .Here it is out of the plastic bag and foam rubber. It still has the protective covering on the crystal . . .And after removing the protective covering . . .And, of course, the Wrist Shot . . . I always wondered what my fingers looked like holding the camera taking . . .Now for a little comparison between my 36.2mm and the new 39.2mm . . .Wow, I really love domed sapphire crystals.
