Blancpain 0072-1418-55 wrist watches news:
Greetings all,Well, it's been a long time coming, having been a watch nut since childhood, but I finally got my first Omega. While I had a Speedmaster Professional and a Planet Ocean on my list, I stumbled across this NOS Speedmaster Day-Date (discontinued in late 2007 as far as I can tell). As is the custom, here's a photo! :-)
One of the great things about not buying tons of new watches is you get the chance to hang out with old buddies. This week I've rediscovered my Omega (Bond) Seamaster Professional and am delighted with it all over again. I love the bracelet, the blue wave dial, the case back and, surprising, the red tip on the second hand, which gives the whole thing just the right amount of color.Once again, I've transcended the desire for a new watch by savoring the timepieces I own. This is really a good thing.Maybe I'm finally growing up..nah....
Excuse my ignorance but can someone tell me whether speedmaster pro dials should have feet on? Theres one appeared on ebay and it says no feet - would it have had feet? Can't be sure from the photos. Thanks, Alan
Does the 5980 have a moving second hand within the chrono dial or only the large hand when used as a chronograph?
I remember seeing a thread recently about the 116610 having a brushed vs polished clasp but searched and can’t find it.What are the approximate timeframes and dates of the two? Which came first and how long has each been around? I’m trying to get an approximate year on my LVc.__________________Submariner 116610LN / Yacht-Master 116622
