HYT H2 Tradition: Futuristic Meets Retro
The “hydromechanical horologists” of indie watch brand HYT were among the first-time exhibitors at this year’s SIHH in Geneva. After making a splash at recent Baselworlds with pioneering timepieces like the H1, H2, and H3, the brand headed by watch-industry veteran Vincent Perriard wowed the SIHH crowd with the new H2 Tradition ¡ª the first HYT to meld cutting-edge technology with horological classicism.The HYT H2 Tradition is the first HYT watch with such classical refinements as guilloch¨¦ finishes, delicately lacquered dials, black Roman numerals for the hours, and blued Breguet-style hands, but it retains the now-familiar HYT hydro-mechanical aesthetic thanks to the capillary around the dial’s periphery, filled with blue fluid that moves forward with the passing of the hours. 1970s Gold Omega Constellation
I think that vintage gold represents amazing value. Recently I was at London airport viewing the most basic solid gold Rolex with gold bracelet. About 14 thousand US. But a 1976 Omega Constellation recently sold on poshtime.co.uk for way less than 4000 dollars. Pictures are still on their site. Well worth a look. OK the styling is old fashioned but the quality is not in doubt.

Incoming Day-Date
This is a watch I have looked at for a while.Lots of positives but for me I wondered if it was too ostentatious, does it suit me, am I too young for it.....in the end I was not sure but I pulled the trigger anyway and man am I glad that I did.It arrived yesterday, it is beautifully finished, fits like a dream and all my concerns were imaginary.In short I love it....yes it¡¯s bold but so whatAnyone thinking about one should go for it (especially if DavidSW hooks you up)PS it has already been to the gym with me!
