Hublot Manufacture Officially Inaugurated
Yesterday Hublot officially inaugurated is new manufacture and offices. Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver welcomed LVMH Group Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault and Philippe Pascal, President of the LVMH Timepieces and Jewellery division. Various celebrities, friends of the brand, partners, as well as representatives from local authorities and the press attended the celebration. The festivities took place 2 years after the first stone was laid. The building has been operating at full capacity since April. The building, which overlooks Lake Geneva and the Alps, measures about 65,000 square feet and houses 300 employees. The machine and assembly shops occupy the first two floors, along with after-sales service, technical departments and purchasing divisions. The 3rd floor is set aside for management, marketing, sales, accounts and a large showroom, as well as the Hublot TV studios. Dear Watch lovers,After some research and homework that I have done I decided that my choice must be an automatic golden case watch with in-house movement.If I am not wrong, all the watches below are according to my requirements:I would like to hear your opinion about the next issues: Can you rank those watches as per their movements quality / level / reliability ??? How about ranking the brands ? Which are more or less prestigious ? Which from them per your opinion will still be valuable and an precious present to son or grandson after 20-40 years ??? As I have been saying, you people are nothing but enablers! If you have seen my other thread I was considering adding a no date Sub as a kind of beater relaxed casual watch to my collection. I love my SD43 but I think it's almost too nice to wear in certain situations - it just sort of screams Rolex and in some places I may want to be a little more under the radar than that. So I even considered replacing my SD with a Sub. A couple people on that thread suggested I look into maybe purchasing a Tudor, and keeping the Sea Dweller. Which brings me to today. I visited one of my AD's and took a look at a Submariner. Naturally they only had a TT or YG in stock. No stainless models at all (big shock, I know). So I tried on the TT and although I liked it a lot, I still had the same issue with it I had with my old GMT - it just seems a little smaller on me than I prefer. So I was still torn - should I spend 8 grand on a watch that wears a little smaller than I want and is so close to t
