Breguet 5817ST/12/5V8 wrist watches news:
2012 sees another variation on the popular Perrelet Turbine watch called the Turbine Diver - and it is just that. With a large case, internal rotating dive bezel, and 300 meters of water resistance, you can now combine your love of the spinning dial timepiece with your passion for sport watches. Well, at least I know I can.I've written about the Perrelet Turbine watch over the years and did a hands-on review of the Perrelet Turbine XL watch here. The high-end novelty watch continues to hold my attention. If you don't recall how it works, the Turbine is a play on the original Perrelet double rotor concept that has a second rotor on the dial which is connected to the rear rotor in the automatic movement. The turbine on the dial spins with the movement of your wrist. With enough inertia, it will spin pretty fast. Perrelet learned that by using large, bold hands as it does here - a high level of legibility can be maintained.Size-wise, the Turbine Diver is between the original 43mm Turbine

I'd been looking for an SD for a few weeks and considered several different watchs from dealers and private parties alike. I ended up buying a nice, pre-owned, K serial SD. I worked with one of our fantastic sponsors, Top Notch Watch. The experience couldn't have been easier and I'd do business with Scott Levin again in a heartbeat. Communication was probably too good if that's possible. I very likely wore out my blackberry emailing Scott during my travels in the last week! But he patiently answered every message (often from his own blackberry) and made me feel very comfortable about the buying process. We all know the deal about buying the seller and it was very easy to do so in this case. He'd obtained it from the original owner and it came as a complete package with all the goodies (both boxes, documents/manuals, original dated sales receipt, bracelet tool, diving chart and even the SD anchor). It's in really fantastic shape for a watch purchased in 02. The price was fair and most i

Women wearing men's (or oversized) watches. The trend isn't all that new. It's been around for a while. However, InStyle magazine just did a feature on women wearing large watches. One the positive side, you can get away with buying your wife/girlfriend a Rolex Daytona as a gift (and you can tell her that wearing it loose on the wrist is the way to go - that way you can borrow it).One the negative side, your wife/girlfriend will be wearing YOUR watches.So...is this a positive or a negative trend? Here's a scan of the article. And check out all of the beautiful celebrities wearing men's watches on our website. Doesn't get much better than that.
