Breguet 5829br/8d/9zu.dd0d wrist watches news:
Following is a picture of the front plate of the movement:I've redone the balance and hairspring, and I am having issues with the crown not locking. I put it in and there is no resistance and it doesn't wind or come out to set the time. I've had this issue before and somehow with the pins on the front of the plate. Please remind me!Thanks.
WHAT? Why would you ever do that?!Well, a few things first...First of all, I'm not selling it right now, I'd just like some opinions and stuff before I do. I know I have to buy a membership and post it in the FS forum, so technically I can't try to sell it here.Second, I'm not 100% sure I want to yet, but I'm trying to get you guy's thoughts on it beforehand.Anyway! Yes, I'm thinking of selling my Hamilton Drake. Second Hamilton I ever owned and first I bought with my own money. Don't get me wrong, I like this watch very, VERY much butI think it's time to part ways. It's been sitting in my lockbox for a while, and I feel bad about keeping it stashed away for no good reason. I probably won't fix it up, and it would be a shame to let it waste away simply because I want to own it.Also, I'm sort of in a little financial situation now, so the bit of extra money I would get would help a bunch! So I wanted to ask, when selling a vintage watch like this, are there any numero-uno rules and hint
Hi guysIm thinking about getting an AP RO 14790ST, but just wanted to hear your opinion regarding the size of it. I know it is just 36mm but the shape of the case makes it wear bigger. I dont have the possibility to try it at the moment. So it would be interesting to see side-by-side comparison pics of the 14790 vs a 40mm sports rolex to get a feeling of the size and feel of itThanks in advance!
I'm a sucker for the Roman numeral dials. I've seen tons for DD40 offered for sale here with the blue dials and the anniversary green dials, but I don't think I've seen a WG white dial Roman offered. Is it not a popular watch or just the opposite? I'm thinking of adding that as my next piece if I can find it for the right price. On that note, what are your thoughts on a DJ 41 being offered with the white dial Romans? I saw that they added the slate dial green Romans in SS. Fingers are crossed they add the white Roman to the DJ41 lineup.
I put down a deposit over the phone this morning. They have just charged my credit card and sent me the receipt:of course I cropped out the sensitive information.BUT to my surprise, there's a ready by date of August. Could it be true? Who knows. Anyone else have similar deposit receipts or experiences?
