All, I am looking at this watch on CL and i cannot tell from the pictures if it is real or not. Can anyone tell from the pictures if it is real? If not can anyone tell me any tell tell signs to look for that would make it known if it was a fake? In theory I could take it too a jeweler, but it would be a PITA. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!***UPDATE***I ended up getting the watch and am very pleased with it! I took some rubbing compound and got all the surface scratches off and I think it cleaned up real nice. Many thanks for all the help and insight that came from the board. Invicta Watchband Question
I am looking to get a new stainless steel "oyster" watchband for my Commando and am thinking getting the type that comes on the 8926 (and other watches with a 20mm lug spread). I just got off the phone with Invicta who told me the width at the bracelet clasp is also 20mm which seems rather odd. They also did not know the height of the links (the thickness). If anyone has a non solid end link Invicta watchband and a caliper can you reply with the measurements and what model number. Thanks.I was also dismayed that a watch company as large as Invicta would not have some parts on handthe told me it could take up to 90 days. Yikes!

The 'rare handcrafts' like enamel, marquetry, engraving ��. the ned plus ultra among Patek watches.We know them for their complications and their superb finishingBut not often seen are the 'art' pieces aka 'rare handcrafts'Anyway, this is a book Patek made and afaik they are and were not for sale.But I think they must be very rare, I've seen all kinds of catalogs, big and small, boxes with leaflets, small books for the Nautilus ( 30th anniversary) , little books with 20 or so pages about their in-house chrono movements ��..But this �� this was new to me.I had never seen this magnificent book dedicated to the rare handcraftsA pretty big (155 pages) book about enamel, marquetry, engraving ��. clocks, watches, pocket watches ��To give you an impression , here are some picturesBad pictures I know :-) but at least you can see a few pages LOLLike said, I didn't knew such a book existedblue hard cover , and inside the 'Rare Handcrafts book'
