Breguet 8967ST/58/986 wrist watches news:
The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is an iconic watch. Don't believe me? Well, do a little research on Google and you should quickly find three key attributes justifying the icon status: 1) it's one of the original dive watches that one could take 100s of meters under water without fear of damage; 2) it's the first watch to include a unidirectional rotating bezel that allows quick timing of your dive; and 3) it's one of the first watches to include enough luminescent material on its dial and bezel to make it readable at diving depths or in murky waters. It is therefore not surprising that Blancpain owns some of the original patents around diving watches, and famous pioneer divers, such as Jacques-Yves Cousteau and his team, wore Blancpain when they helped popularize the sport in the ?early 1950's.However, while innovation alone would assure Blancpain its place in the annals of watchmaking, after all, dive watches are some of the most popular models (even today, when most dive watches hardly se
Hello All,Has anyone ever heard of a Hamilton Endicott that was made with a 10K gold filled over silver case? The case in question was made by S&W. Inside of case is stamped HAMILTON W. CO LANCASTER PA 10K GOLD FILLED AG S253990. The seller claims that AG stands for the silver base. I cant find any references to Hamilton using this type of watch case.
The market for vintage Hamiltons has always been strong, but the sale of a Hamilton Martin on Ebay for $385 seems to be a bit excessive. Ebay Item # 300390713473 sold for this. Was a black dialed Martin offered originally or is this a redial? I see nothing in the sales literature to indicate that the Martin was offered with a black dial originally. At this rate, Tom's collection is worth about $150 million.
Forgot to crosspost this one over here. I am LOVING this watch so far...watchtalkforums.info/foru...fessional.html
really really rare! Something special that keeps a low profile...something what you can wear whereever whenevere¡ Enough descreet if you meet clients or potential clients. For sure the 5711 was the trigger for my insight that high-end watches could be in ordinary steel too. First for a considerable time I lust for the regularly 5950 with the silvery white opaline dial. But there were doubts, because I am a sucker for dark dials. Then at Baselworld 2015 a limited black dial version was luckily introduced. What could be more descreet than a ordinary stainless steel chrono with dark dial?A grand complication in steel with black dial as slim as possible based on a extra slim movement is...UnderstatedDescreetJust beautifulI thought this will be my exit watch if I am able to get one, but it¡¯s not! It's the entry to watch heaven...I hope you enjoy the pictures.
