Breguet 7037BA/11/9V6 wrist watches news:
At the heart of each piece consists of an internal spring gold that enables extraordinary flexibility. Coils and head features a pattern of work-open on the sides and bottom, which allows light to enter the nucleus, which emphasizes the lustre of the pav'.Scales different height and width to decrease gradually to the sides, with defined exquisite volumes that focus on the overall design, combine to mimic the sinuous movement of the serpent, equip each piece with his own life. The most striking examples are represented by the straps which wrap around the wrist several times, all interpretations precious and sophisticated ground snake which are striking for their combination of ingenuity and imagination, not to mention the complexity of the Bulgari craftsmen hand-crafts.
I have been looking at a vintage Tissot watch on a website to add to my collection the price seems right but it says on the case it needs a key to open it does this mean I would need to find a specialist to service it? as I couldn't afford a fortune and to be honest if expensive I might be better buying a similar one of the bay for a little more or contacting them as I could always make an offer any advice would be appreciated TISSOT Visodate Seastar Seven gold plated for projecttissot-visodate-seastar-seven-gold-plated-for-project-[5]-2530-p.jpg
I bought a Tag Heur watch 3 weeks back and somehow managed to inflict a fine hairline scratch on the side of the case while I was polishing it with a piece of tissue. I would have thought stainless steel would be more resistant than tissue paper but apparently that was not the case here.Anyway! The scratch is particularly glaring because the steel casing is a polished surface rather than a brushed one. Were I to bring the watch to the Tag repair centre, would they be able to conjure magic to erase the scratch or would they (god forbid) need to change the whole casing? This watch also happens to be one of those gimmicky limited edition ones, so in the extremely unfortunate event that a case replacement is necessary, I'm not sure if finding spare parts for it would be a problem.
I have managed to damage my 5170J - whilst the picture isn't the best you can see two deep indents on the edge of the case close to 3 o'clock.I think this was due to my metal cuff link banging and then indenting into the case.Whilst it looks relatively minor to the naked eye - it keeps catching my eye.The question is a) do i send it to Patek for it to be polished or b) do i leave it as it is.Do Patek polish cases without servicing a watch and will it have an impact on the resale value (although i do not have any plans to sell it) if it has been refurbished?Any input is appreciated.
It keeps coming back ; guys insisting Rolex recommends ten year servicing. But there is no such recommendation on any Rolex website I can find. The latest version is people quoting from some sales document marked 'for internal use only' .There are real experts on this forum. Can anyone produce a statement from Rolex quoting a set number of years between servicing? I think their position is ..,service when necessary. Am I wrong ?
