I need information on this vintage Benrus.
My father worked for the Quaker Oats company in Chicago. During WWII he was liaison with the Army, helping to develop freeze-dried food for the troops. He was given this Benrus by the Army in appreciation of his work. The emblem on the front says "The Quartermaster Citation". The back has serial #666929. It also came with a printed citation award, signed by Col Rohland A. Isker. I'm guessing it is from 1945. Does anyone know anything about this watch. Is it worth anything? I took a break from Rolex purchasing lately. A friend traded me this. I have to say itĄ¯s a very handsome watch. IĄ¯ve been wearing it for the last few weeks. I blame it on the autoconnect.

Thoughts on trade-in
IĄ¯ve been wanting to add a 116710LN gmt as my second Rolex. My AD hasnĄ¯t had one for quite some time, but between trusted sellers here and other members offering to help, sourcing isnĄ¯t difficult. Well I stopped in my AD today just to check and talk Basel. All they have is the wg blro and the tt 116713. I actually liked the tt more than I thought I would. My wedding band is 18kt yg and they look nice together. On top of that, they offered me more for my z-blue than I paid for it. IĄ¯m heavily considering trading in. The z-blue is my first Rolex and I love the gv, but the tt gmt would be my first new Rolex, and IĄ¯ve been wanting the gmt and date function. My concerns are missing the gv and the flashiness of the tt. Now there are so many gmt variants, I canĄ¯t even remember if theyĄ¯re keeping the old tt or if it was discontinued in lieu of the new rg tt.
