Hesalite crystal? opinions please
I'm about to take the plunge on a new Omega.I really love the 3573.50 Speedmaster.,but can't afford it today.I have my eye on the 3570.50,but I'm a bit apprehensive about the Hesalite crystal,because it's plastic and I'm fussy about scratches.Some insight would be appreciated,thanks

Need help to choose vingate Omega
Hi , I am total newbie here. To start, I was just thinking of buying a new watch in $500 range and decided to stop by and chat with a local watchmaker here in Vancouver, Canada. After conversation got going, he asked me if I would be interested in a couple of vintage Omega watches he was selling personally. I know nothing about vintage Omegas and would really appreciate any advice, value suggestions, or any other helpful information. Here is what he is offering:1) Omega Geneve automatic with date, circa ?68-?69. Caliber 565, 24 jewels, serial #28XXXXXX, case #166.041 He will replace crystal since the one right now is not the right one, he will put new crown, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking around CAD$550.2) Omega Seamaster automatic with date, circa ?56-?57. Caliber 503, 20 jewels, serial #15XXXXXX, case #2849-3. He will replace crystal, clean up the dial a bit, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking the same around CAD$550.What do you guys think? AP Rose Gold Discolouration
I keep my watches in pristine condition and keep all kind of chemicals away and even use cologne before putting them on. But AP rose gold has started to slightly discolour/tarnish on left side of the AP logo on the buckle. There is a tiny minute spot starting to appear close to one of the lugs this is freakin irritating as I'm super anal in keepin and storing my watches. Anyone has the same issue with AP rose gold or if someone can guide about chemical composition of the rose gold might have this attribute of getting discoloured or tarnished as they age. I have tried to clean it softly and gently with soap water and toothbrush but it's still there. Looking forward to the excellent help and advice courtesy of this exemplary forum.RegardsUrooj

Latest addition to the collection
I went to the local AD the day before yesterday to look for the Seamaster Pro that I've been wanting to add to my collection (2220.80) just to find out that it is no longer being produced as I like it (with the waves on the dial, which to me are just beautiful). While trying to cope with my disappointment, the dealer showed me the Planet Ocean Ceramic* 42mm. It was love at first sight! After negotiating for a whole day, he came acceptably close to the price that I know is usually the lowest I can get, so we sealed the deal over sms last night.This is what I brought home. Enjoy!
