Breitling a1733010/c756-3rd wrist watches news:
I have been to two of my AD's in the last week and now I'm in trouble. I saw a Jazzmaster Gent #H32411555 and really liked it.The only thing is the Gent is a quartz (which is not a bad thing), and I would prefer an automatic. The AD was having a 40% off sale, so I could pick this one up for about $250.Then I saw the Jazzmaster Viewmatic #H32455555 which is basically the same watch (dial and strap color) but is an automatic. He would only give me 25% off so it would run around $470. I would probably go online and then I could get it for something closer to $430. I don't know what to do! Not that I need a watch right now, but I'm sure you are all familiar with the disease.
Good lord I'm weak I was looking at watches at a jewerly store which is an affiliate of my company and they had one Tissot Powermatic on display. Asked to look at it and the clerk immediately said he could give me a great deal. I mentioned I was an employee and got an employee discount on top of it. Bottom line, it wasn't much more than the Tissot Le Locle I just bought a few weeks ago. I'm just going to repost what I just wrote on my personal site a few minutes ago, but just as a note, I did get to test the power reserve and accuracy (of course, it was just sitting in the box) as I got the watch Tuesday and today was the first time I was able to wear it. The Tissot Luxury Automatic features the ETA C07.111 movement which boasts an 80 power reserve.Watch and Wound describes the “new” ETA movement: The C07 is in fact a heavily modified ETA 2824-2 movement, which we are all very familiar with. And like the 2824-2 it’s a hand-winding, hacking automatic with date, b
Anyone in between sizes on the Jumbo? I feel like it's either too tight or too loose playing with just the one link. Thinking of getting the 1-1/2 link. Will be calling AP on Monday to see how much.
Hi, guys. I've recently taken quite a shine to the 1950s-60s era Omegas. The size - 34mm or so - seems quite nice for modern-day wear on a smaller wrist. I've wanted a vintage watch for a long time and had been looking at Rolex Datejusts and Dates, but the vintage Omegas have such a neat look and can be had for considerably less than Rolex. At least, so it seems. Is it crazy to be especially intrigued with the Constellation because it has the cool observatory image on the back of the case? I just love that look. Even though it wouldn't show when being worn, it is such an elegant touch.I'm trying to learn more about these vintage pieces. Can anybody tell me more about them, pros and cons, and post pics if you have them? Any and all vintage Omegas - by all means share your knowledge!Thank you!PS - just found Desmond's blog. What a tremendous resource!
I've been looking throughout the forums and reviews for the speedmaster, but I can't seem to find out whether or not the watch's crown is screw down or not. Does anyone know if the crown is non screw down in older models, but are screw down in the newer sapphire/coaxial models? Thanks!
