Showing here my other late U.S. Elgins. 42 diamond estate sale bargain and the last rr model. I have a bunch of multicolor gold Elgins and old gold pw. I guess mainly because there were so many made. Except for the recent purchase Lord Elgin 730 1958, this rr 571 model, the best 18 size 23Jewel Veritas rr , and the best 16size model 270 rr, I never deliberately ever sought an Elgin, but in acquiring the gold ones that were susceptible to scrapping, Elgins predominate. A friend was at the recent National NAWCC Mart. There were many hundreds of gold watches scrapped. Several buyers were paying as much as 95% of gold content value. One had spent $60,000+. I am surprised NAWCC officials allowed that activity there.

Seamaster Liquid Metal
Legal advise required.As you know, I've been enquiring about the liquid Metal Limited Edition, at the moment, I won't mention the name of the watch shop but it is in the UK. 2 weeks ago I managed to track down a liquid metal seamaster limited edition, this was done on the phone when the manager of the shop said he had one left that was brand new. I therefore paid ?1000 of my debit card and as the shop is in England, and I live in Scotland, the manager said he would send the watch to Scotland as they have another branch in Scotland. A week later I received a call from the jewellery shop in Scotland stating that my watch was in their possession and was ready for collection and that I would have to pay the outstanding balance when i picked up my watch. I drove down to the shop which is a considerable distance away from my home town at a cost of ?40.00 in petrol. DAYDATE 18038 VS CURRENT MODELs
Hi,I'm looking forward to buy a pre-owned 18038 with custom leather strap. I searched online and did not find much info in terms of comparison. Can anyone let me know how both these models are different from each other and what precautions I'd need to take with this vintage watch if I end up buying it (in terms of water damage, scratches on face etc).Also any idea how much these watches cost in second hand market?Thanks for all your help.

I ran across this post on Facebook that shows an incredible engraving. But it is on a Rolex. I thought it completely irresponsible to destroy the value of the watch.
