- Very nice watch - perfect for our 19-year old son, who wanted something that he could "dress up or down". Slightly larger face than the average "dress" watch.

Breitling A1733010-I5-147A wrist watches news:
Several more of the piece unique watches for the Only Watch 2015 charity watch auction have been revealed today, including these models from Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, and Kari Voutilainen. Only Watch itself seems to be doing nothing, but rather, Bacs & Russo at Phillips is not only managing the information releases for the event, but also the auction itself. This is one of the first major events for Bacs & Russo and they are trying to make as big a splash as possible.High-end watch makers Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, and Kari Voutilainen aren't new to the Only Watch auction game, and their Only Watch 2015 entries will likely be stars of the show. Basically, a Patek Philippe always steals the event with wild prices for their piece unique models. For Only Watch 2013 (the most recent event), the Patek Philippe 5004T in titanium went for almost 3,000,000 Euros. Patek's entry this year is a version of the discontinued 5016 in steel. For those of you who may have seen my premature Incoming thread (premature in that I was not ready to unsticker/wear) of a couple of days ago, I have finally submitted; I have unstickered, sized, and began wearing, my new Sub ND.I love this thing!Yes, the Pelagos will be going away (the idea to pick up the blue Pelagos was too good...I can't resist) and the Sub now becomes the daily watch for me.Early impressions:1. The lower profile of the Sub is very welcome; the Pelagos stands taller than I realized.2. The relative heft of the sub strikes me; the titanium of the Pelagos makes it seem lighter than maybe it should be. The Sub has more feel on my wrist.3. The cleaner/finer Mercedes hands are a better look to my eyes.4. The Pelagos lume is going to be missed; I wish the Sub had lume on the bezel!5. Most important for last: my wife likes the Rolex better. It's a great week!
Gidday I have read and seen examples of case pitting / corrosion on stainless steel cases. My dad's 1970 Omega Geneve had to be retired because of pitting and subsequent water ingress.Do precious metal cases (gold and platinum) also succumb to pitting?CheersJoe
OK...sorry about the other thread with no pic. If you didn't see it or know what I'm talking about, it's probably just as well. Steve, you were right, my brother. You know me too well! Merry Christmas to all my TRF family!
