Linde Werdelin Oktopus II Double Date Watch
I've seen where Linde Werdelin has come from and I see where it is going. Quickly adapting to the market the small brand is a unique example of both flexibility and independence in an industry where such concepts are not as common as they might seem. Their major timepiece launch for 2012 is the Oktopus II, and I recently spent some time on a call with the brand's co-founder Jorn Werdelin to discuss the new watch.The Oktopus II is not a singular piece but part of a new family. While conceptually the same, the II it is a very different watch compared to the original Linde Werdelin Oktopus timepiece. Starting with the II it is clear that the Oktopus range will be a more or less long-term member of the Linde Werdelin family. Almost none of the original watches from the brand are still made, but each is being carried on thematically in more interesting ways. looking for a first Seiko...
my first non-digital watch was some japanese movement piece from a Honda dealer for a low, low $30 or $40. i've had it for several years, dropped it a few times, changed the battery a few times, but ultimately thought it to be broken. there's a few stupid assumptions i've made since then, but we'll just say i need a new watch.so having been bequeathed an amazon gift cert, i've bought a few things, but ultimately still have the major question hanging over my head. what to buy (watch-wise)? well, i've pretty much settled on Seiko (a female friend kinda wants a Diesel on me, but i'd say "something reliable" is a good starting point, and something to fall back upon if i ever get another watch that looks cool but goes belly up).well, after some research, (the link to an article on the 7S26 movement from wikipedia) i've circled back upon something i'd found i'd liked before i read the article, an SNK795K1. i'm not sure *what* exactly prompted my paranoia-sense to start to tingle, but some of

New to me Omega
Just picked this guy up. Kind of a interesting, watch. Just got a new job so I thought I'd reward myself. Although the Dynamic was never really popular in the states I actually really like it. I'm gonna have it sized tomorrow. Enjoy.
