Baselworld 2014 is almost upon us, and I have continued to preview new watches and cover other news on my blog, Watch-Insider. This week Patek Philippe, one of Baselworld’s most popular exhibitors, announced that it will be debuting an all-new booth at the fair.Patek Philippe describes the new space as “An innovative, functional and futuristic booth to illustrate the brand¡¯s core values, showcase its products in a modern yet timeless environment, and provide a functional yet traditional work space.”All the showcases are visible to the public from the outside, creating a surprise with the presentation of all (!) the Patek Philippe collections ¡ª namely 198 timepieces in total? ¡ª including a special focus on new watches. An innovative showcase dedicated to movements presents 50 different calibers with detailed information on screen. OMEGA 2454.50 would be my choice
I just bought a 2454.50 for myself for my birthday in December. I can say that this is one purchase that I certainly will not ever regret. The watch is wonderful. I was a little apprehensive about getting a 41mm watch, I thought it would be too big and heavy. I most definitely thought wrong! The watch is light, but solid and a joy to wear. In the dark the luminescence is superb, it glows a brilliant blue-green. I can definitely recommend the 2254.50 . If you haven't already, take a look at some of Mr. Holbrook's reviews - they were what guided me in my purchase, and I can say that I was guided quite well!Congratulations on your Degree!

Turning to the dark side? Again.
I haven't posted much lately...busy and such; but for the last three months I've been attracted more to my G-Shocks than any of my nice watches. (G-Shocks aren't nice; they're tough).I don't know if it's because I'm doing so much yard construction: new doors, outdoor kitchen, swimming and such or what. I have worn my Omega and Breilting a few times but I'm in love with my Pathfinder.I even gave away a new G-Shock and another new Pathfinder to two of my good friends one who loves G-Shocks but had only one, and the other who just broke his Timex.Don't ask...I'm not giving away the Omegas

Need help deciding once more
Okay, here is the situation. I currently own a ap rubberclad black dial. I was presented with this situation, trade my rubberclad and $9,500.00 for the safari. Any suggestions pros and cons for both watch would help.

How does patek allocation work in the UK?
I'm interested in knowing more about how pieces get allocated from Patek, to ADs/Salons, and then to customers. I don't know very much about this at all, except that each region does it differently (i.e. UK vs US).
