New addition and I'm throwing in the towel (for now)
Just picked up my 5396g today, it's amazing and I really wasn't going to pick this up for another few years. When I came home tonight to take a couple of low quality photos of my collection I was quite overwhelmed. I think it's safe to say I have all I want and all I need. Time to give up on the chase and I enjoy what I have:

TRF - what 3 things have you learned here?
I've only been a member of TRF for a month, but I've learned a ton. I thought it might be interesting to share lessons learned as a collection of best practices so to speak.I'll start ...1. Buy great watches if you love them when you see them at ADs ... The number one lesson learned for me. In practice, it led me to buy my 116500LN white last week when I wasn't really looking to make a purchase. 2. Only polish nice watches sparingly ... I always assumed that the polishing you get during service intervals was the best part - but I now know that if your watch really doesn't need a polish, then it's probably best to defer or perhaps ask for a light polish only.3. How to best fit an SD43 ... this is a more micro observation, but the thread on the SD43 fitting was awesome. Even the AD I went to hadn't heard the trick about removing the diver's extension. The board has tons of great tips like this.Finally, a thanks to the moderators who have made this the best watch board there is.

Hi guys,Since the BLNR is now discontinued I¡¯m thinking about buying a DaytonaC. I showed up with $12,400 in cash and demanded my AD sell me one. I was really ticked off to hear that he didn¡¯t have one for me. To make things worse he went as far as to say there is a list! I thought he would want a new customer! So now I¡¯m thinking about maybe the Hulk. But I¡¯m just not sure, Is it a good investment? Will it be worth more than the PepsiC in 7.4 years? Speaking of the PepsiC what¡¯s with that color? I thought Rolex was going to make the exact same watch as the 16710 just with a ceramic bezel?? And a jubilee? That¡¯s for old geezers. My AD said I could be 15th on the list for the Pepsi if I want though. How long will that take for me to get it? Will there be a price increase between now and then? What if I pre-pay? Speaking of paying, how much of a discount should I expect? Man, all the flippers have really made it hard to buy anything. And don¡¯t even get me started on gray dealers! How dar
