A 1950s Tissot And The Appeal Of The World Time Complication
World Time watches hold a certain fascination to us here at the 'Dink - we've told you this before - especially when we get to the world-timers from the 1950s and earlier. Louis Cottier made a name for himself creating the first true-world time movement, and countless brands employed him and his team to create pieces for them. We're talking Patek, Vacheron, and Rolex, to name a few you may have heard of (of course, Aggasiz also used Cottier and this watch was actually given to the leaders of the allied forces after the Second World War).But, a vintage world timer from Patek, VC, or Rolex will cost you some serious money, and that is why we are here today with a 1950s Tissot that has the same appeal for a fraction of the price. In fact, this is a fantastic original example of a Tissot WT dating to the mid 1950s. When you press the button at 2 o'clock, the inner disc rotates so the wearer may calibrate it to home-time. I'm glad all had a good time. But the LA GTG had a championship golf course to boot (Sherwood CC). So, for me to attend you have to line up one of the magnificent NY golf courses, not a stinky bar. LOL JK =) maverickand the mandatory table shot to make this legal

This time its the boutique in Beverly Hills CA.PAM406 (Beverly Hills) 20 units $17,900 (PAM00406) 20 units have been made, is a Luminor 1950 10 Days GMT 44 mm, with the case and the bridge protecting the crown in brushed steel and the bezel in polished steel. All the elements on the black sandwich dial are coated with ecru Super-LumiNova?: the figures, the linear indication of the 10-day power reserve, the small seconds dial which also carries the am/pm indication, the calendar and the inscription Luminor Panerai GMT. The hour and minute hands also have the same coating, as does the arrow pointer of the hand which indicates the time in the second time zone. The strap is of vintage leather and the movement is the automatic calibre P.2003, created entirely within the Officine Panerai manufacture at Neuchatel. and the boutique in NY got another edition..PAM407 (NEW YORK) 20 units $12,500 (PAM00407) 20 units have been made, is a Radiomir 8 Days 45 mm, with the elegant cushion case in polis
