Audemars Piguet 25829ST.OO.0944ST.01 wrist watches news:
July 20, 2009 was the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing mission that famously madethe Omega Speedmaster Professional watch world famous. Oh yea, and it was cool that we landed on the moon as well. Trust me, on each occasion that can be fathomably possible, Omega relishes in its [past] achievements. Why should Omega have all the fun though? There are other watches companies, and others that can work to celebrate humanity's victory over our Earthly prison! The most obvious type of watch to include playful lunar features are of course moon phase watches, and the most appropriate are those watches with larger moon phase indicators. I've seen moon phases with a moon display that is plain, those that try to emulate the look of the surface of the moon, those that have all sorts of playful or characterful faces, and thenthe?? displays like this that celebrate the moon landing. This watch is a one-off, meaning that there will only be one of them. It is based on higher production wa
I'm going to look at a 116610LV (green dial) tomorrow morning. Brand new. ¡ê6050. If I like it as much as I did when I first saw it, I'll buy it. I've been exploring the pre-owned market and the only one I can find is from Watchclub and they're asking so close to the price of a new one, I may as well go the whole hog. I've spoken to watchclub - it's been serviced but not by Rolex. In another 2? years it'll need a service, more ¡ê¡ê¡ê. A new one will be good for 5 years.I feel I'm lucky to find a dealer that's got one in stock. One dealer told me it can take a year to get one in!I figure a price increase must be imminent. When did Rolex last have one? So even at ¡ê6.05k, it'll be a good investment. So, there we are. A done deal - good as .
When I saw this in a case with other junkers, Casio and the usual lot, I almost didn't notice it. $15.00 and thirty seconds after opening it, I was on my way back to the car. Now come the questions. Were 428 6/0size, 15 jewel movements used in wrist watches?Does this case date back to 1928?Are these the correct hands and dial? I'm fairly certain it has the wrong crystal because any angled light source makes it almost impossible to see the hands.
so.....in a box of grab bag watches, I found this ! ....I haven't yet cleaned it up, and it's a 6 jewel quartz movement, 740.....and while I do appreciate that whoever owned this watch did NOT leave the battery in to drip battery acid all over the inside.( I think the compartment looks pretty clean) It's a bit of a b**** because there's no indication of the correct battery size.......now ordinarily, I'd just eyeball the size and try out a couple, but this is a Hamilton .....and really would rather not risk shorting it out......Does anyone know where I might find the correct battery for this guy ? or , maybe even know it ? thanks !
Had a call from my AD yesterday, my DJ 41 has just arrived from Rolex so off I went to collect it. A beautiful watch that contrasts and compliments my GMT2 perfectly; Im well pleased. Photo attached for you guys.
