Seiko Seiko 12936 wrist watches news:
There is a debate going on in the Hamilton forum about a member who opened up his new Hamilton watch because of a defect only to find the words, "Hamilton China", engraved on the inside and he is pretty irked by it.I can tell you, so am I! I have a Hamilton X Wind and I bought it partly because I thought, or was led to believe, that it was "Swiss Made". But now I'm not so sure. This opens up alot of questions, like is Hamilton actually Swiss made, or is it made in China or do they use inferior Chinese parts? Do other "Swiss" watch brands do the same? How about the other Swatch group companies? Do Valjoux and ETA also make there movements there or use inferior Chinese parts? I don't think that anyone could say that Chinese quality control can be anywhere near Swiss standards and we do pay a premium for watches that claim to be Swiss made. And Hamilton and the other brands all brag about there Swiss heritage and make no mention in there advertising whatsoever about anything being made in
hey guyshow much time should i be gainig/losing before i should start worrying about getting my watch serviced?I took my accutron 26C04 in today because last week i gained 3 minutes and this week i've gained 5 minutes. Am i expecting too much or is that a real problem? I know the "average" is about 6 seconds a day and 10 seconds worst case so that doesn't really add up.....or am I wrong?I wear my watch every day and take it off at night, if that makes a difference.thanks in advance for any advice.
Thinking of the next AP purchase after getting the new Jumbo yes the bug has bitten :) between the New coming soon Ceramic diver and FC diver which one should I go for? I know they are quite different in materials and color scheme yellow vs orange see through back plus there is also price difference with the ceramic priced lower I understand.which one would you go for? Wait for ceramic or go FC?
What do you guys think of the black dial OP39 released Basel 2018? It is on the Rolex website.
Just spoke to my local AD back home (midwest) just to check in and surprisingly they had a BLNR in stock, so obviously I snapped it up.Anyone recently just walked into an AD and bought a BLNR out of the case given all the recent reports of the SS models being in a serious drought in North America? I'm in shock right now.Full disclosure, I had one in 2016 but flipped it for an AP (bad move given how much I sold it for and how the value has appreciated since then on used models)... this one I'll probably keep for a while!
