Hello everyone,I just joined this forum and wanted to introduce myself as well as tell my watch story (what got me interested in watches). I'm also including pictures of my Omega's. So, here goes...When I was 19 years old, I got a stainless steel Rolex DateJust from my Uncle as a Christmas present. It had a white dial with very fine roman numerals (I almost never see this dial, as most have fat/thick roman numerals). He had a Presidential, and explained to me what a Rolex was and why he got me one for Christmas - - - his father, when my uncle was 18, got him a stainless steel watch with a white dial (a Hamilton I believe), and so he did the same to me. He didn't have kids, so I was his nephew and "sorta son"He also gave me another present...a fake Rolex he got in Mexico, so I could tell the difference (gold tone). Anyway, I didn't at the time know anything about watches, but I grew to cherish that Rolex watch for sentimental reasons. I literally never, ever took that watch off.F

Stay true to AP or diversify the collection?
AP will always be my first preference as I love the brand and their astonishing design aesthetics and beautiful finishing and build quality. I'm looking for another piece considering the AP ceramic anthracite dial but I stumbled across this Rolex rose gold day date 40 and their new anniversary green dial. I love the 44mm RG which has been my favourite piece since 2012 when it came out and acquired it instantly. On weekends and special occasions my rose gold 42 mm on strap gets wrist time. I would definitely prefer the AP ceramic to complete the AP trio but will it be all too Same same or Rolex green dial would be a good option to consider. The only reason I ask this question here as all the members here have amazing collections and watch experiences and they can guide and let us know if an acquisition later will not be regretted and if a person will find a certain disconnect with the watch even through initially they were all for it and took considerable time deciding. We've all seen the prices of the 16710 continue to rise, but do you think having a SS ceramic coke will change that?Would never sell my coke, as it is something I'm handing down to son, but just curious as to what you all think (and yes, I know that none of you have a crystal ball )
