Breitling C13358 wrist watches news:
To accompany its highly successful ¡°Dark Side of the Moon¡± collection, Omega launched the Omega Speedmaster ¡°Grey Side of the Moon¡± last year. Fashioned from ceramic and platinum, the watch features several design elements that distinguish it from other Omega watches. The watch’s look is inspired by the lunar dust that captured the footprints of the Apollo astronauts in the iconic images beamed back to Earth. When creating this watch, Omega had to employ a special process to capture the color of the lunar surface. The ceramic material starts out white, but it takes on the required darker hue in a high-temperature plasma furnace. Exposed to a proprietary mix of gasses at a temperature of 36,000 degrees Fahrenheit for three hours, the ceramic emerges in a shimmering grey. This unique ceramic is used to create the case, caseback, bezel, crown, pushers and buckle of this 44.25-mm timepiece. In another first for Omega, the engraved tachymetric scale on the bezel is filled with Super-Lum
I came across this Hamilton last year - I could tell it needed some work, so set it aside for a while. Unfortunately I don't have a "before" picture of the watch at that time, but the crystal was cracked and the dial appeared to need some cleaning, but the case and bezel were in surprisingly good shape - very little wear. A few weeks ago I took it to my watch guy and had him take a look at it. After I left it with him, he called me and told me that he wasn't sure he could revive it. As you can see by this picture, when he opened the case, the movement looked as if it had been underwater! There was so much rust, the pinion on the second balance wheel was rusted solid, and the second hand was rusted to the dial.It took a LOT of work and I picked it up today - here are a couple of pictures:I wanted to leave the dial unfinished as I like the look of a nicely aged dial - even with all the rust I think it turned out pretty well! I am glad I followed through with it and brought this little b
Hi guys, I am a watch newbie. I saw a friend who had a tissot prc200 and fell in love with it. I ended up buying one recently on ebay for 175$. I did a lot of research, and yes the price is surprisingly low. However upon further inspection of the pictures (which weren't generic), the seller's other items and his 100% feedback (which include sales of Breitlings, tag heuers, bulovas movado citizen etc), i decided to buy the watch. Seller is offering a 7 day money back guarantee and with paypal/ebay protection, i feel pretty confident that i'll be able to get my money back if it is fake. Anyways i received the watch, I've googled all over to see different threads on how to tell fake prc200's. The E's on the warranty card are round and 10 dots, the box's "T" and "+" emblem are slightly recessed into the box, spacing looks okay on the watch's face, hands look symmetric and properly shaped, hands and the 5 minute markers all glow, etc. However i would like to get a second opinion as this is
Hi Everyone! New poster, so aside from the requisite reply of "use the search", Im hoping I can get some advice. (I did use the search, but my head hurts now from info overload) I was given a Tag Grand Carerra 6RS as a christmas gift. Love the watch, but Im a bigger guy, and the bracelet doesnt fit well. I think I'll need another link or two, but Im not sure where I can find one. I looked at Tags website, but there wasnt any type of option for ordering links, and even so, Im sure they will be spendy. I guess Im looking for alternatives, and if there isnt any, just some advice on where to go to find a solution. Additionally, Im interested in having the ability to swap out the metal band for a leather one...is this an easy task with the aforementioned watch? Since it has the white face, Im thinking it can be a real workhorse and do both black and brown straps, along with the steel bracelet. Im sure I'll need some specific tools to do this...can someone lend some advice on this as
Thanks to Justin, jnelson3097 who recommended me to his trusted AD salesperson who is now also my trusted salesperson. I called and purchased an 38.5 AT with leather wristband. I had to wait almost 5 weeks like Charlie Brown in the mailbox with his head sticking out. It finally arrived yesterday and I haven't stopped smiling since. Surprisingly none of my local ADs or OB has this combo. Thank you, Justin!!!
