Is Fossil Ready For An $895 Swiss Automatic Watch?
A few years ago, I used to joke that you'd never see an article about Fossil on watches-dealer. So, this is actually the very first one. Yeah, I know that sounds snobby, but what exactly was I going to write? "Here is an $80 watch that is a cheap recreation of something else you really ought to buy. But with Fossil, you have the convenience of Macy's." As a business, Fossil is a fantastic money-making machine. Proudly American, the Texas-based company is actually in the business of retail product placement before they are in the market of making watches. That is at least from the perspective of what they are good at business-wise. Though, over the years, their ability to make decent watches improved (a bit). Given what I know and what I am used to, it is just hard for me to take Fossil timepieces seriously as something I'd wear - just being honest. Though for many non-watch snobs who wear these - bless 'em. At least they got watches on.They may not have earned a spot on my wrist yet, b

Still working like a champ You may remeber this guy, my heirloom Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date from 1965:Well, I got a replacement camera (the same model , but very cheap) and took my first pics of the returned pal A general pictureI wanted the watch restored, and not get a franken with different dial and hands, as there weren't the correct ones availableThe dial was practically rebuilt, as showed in another thread; the hour and minute hands, were plated (don't know if it's the correct term) in sterling silver, and got a new genuine Rolex crystal, so no third party pieces in the watch itselfthe seconds hand is untouchedThe case was repolished and rebrushed...I decided finally to install a leather strap, as it gives IMHO a more classy look to the watch, as I got the Oyster and Jubilee bracelets, but didn't like them, they scream that the watch is a model from 1965 , so the strap was the path to gomaybe I will swap from time to time, so I can have like three Rolexes The signed crown:One de

Hey guys, long time no see :)Ok, before I start I'll like to explain my situation. My new years resolution for this year was to not buy a watch But about a week ago, i thought i lost my speedy in the gym locker. It turns out it was just in my room. But thats beside the point, cos during pain and mourning of my lost watch, I started falling in love with a Breitling Navitimer An ad here has a Navitimer 125 anniversary for $6500 (which imo isn't a good price even though they say is 40% off..)In 2 weeks, I'm travelling to Korea, and then to singapore duing christmas.Does anyone know if Korea/Singapore has better prices than Australia?and if possible, the price for the countries?and if anyone is from singapore, where to buy a Breitling? (airport, hourglass etc)Thanks for reading this mess
