Here are a few items to update you on the happenings of the Hamilton Watch forum. First, I could not sleep last night so when I went to the forum, there were 11 of you on at the same time. I think that is the most I have seen since foggy promised to peck out the strains of the William Tell overture on the Hamilton bakelite watch box collection of mgiraz.The end of March and the start of April presents a "perfect storm" for us and I mean that in a good way. April 1 is our three month anniversary (no foolin') and with a little luck, we shall hit 5,000 posts. We have already exceeded 500 threads. That's a lot of yakking, you blabbermouths.Also, March 31 at 9 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time will end the voting for our masthead photo contest. Right now we have a four way tie. If the tie continues, we will post a runoff election to pick the winning photo. Thanks all for your pix and votes. my x-wind LE and air race
so i finally got around to taking a few pics last night. i learned real fast however, that point and shoots, with macro and no flash just can't pull it off on something like this.. even with a tripod. guess i'll have to invest in a SLR at some point in the future. haha.oh well, here's a few pics, sorry for the poor quality. i hope you enjoy. :)and i absolutely LOVE this air race. i was quite worried about how i would like the band but i have no issues with it. it's really comfortable on my wrist and even though i have it on the last hole while on my skinny wrist the band doesn't wrap all the way around which i was concerned would detract from the the watch itself. the brushed look really adds a lot to the case. i feel good wearing it to work in a casual environment and would have no issues dressing it up a little. i mean, i wouldn't wear it with a $5000 armani suit but i also don't own a $5000 armani suit so i guess i don't have to worry about it.

Purchasing new PAM, need help deciding
I have been trolling for the past few weeks and finally decided to post. So I could use your collective advice. I am considering purchasing a new Panerai from an AD and have narrowed it down to the PAM111 and the PAM90. I like the 111 for it¡¯s simplicity and the 90 for the date and power reserve indicator. My concern with the 111 is that its manual wind vs. the 90 being automatic. Anyone have experience with these models. What are your thoughts on manual vs. automatic? I have only 1 manual watch and it doesn¡¯t see much wrist time. Pictures courtesy of panerai are attached for reference.
