- This watch is just what I was looking for. The band fits right plus the screen is not over huge. The color is soft and not bright. Just the right amount of info. Needed for a daily/weekend watch.

Breitling ab011012/q566-ss wrist watches news:
These days Ball watches are an easy buy. Well-made mechanical Swiss watches that tend to fit the bill nicely and their prices are more fair than inflated. Ubiquitous tritium gas tube illumination ain't bad either. Ball's core design ethos is split between original designs, al la Engineer Hydrocarbon creations, as well as faithful homages. This new Fireman Classic 40mm is among the latter. It isn't the first time anyone has given a nod to Patek Philippe, and this latest Ball watch is their interpretation of the the Patek Philippe 5107 from a dial design perspective. While the Patek will be only about 37mm wide on your wrist, the Fireman Classic is 40mm wide making for a nicely-sized dress watch. Hour indicators and dauphine hands are as close as Ball can get to the Patek look while incorporating tritium gas tubes on the face. You'll find the tubes neatly placed in the hands, as well as oriented vertically as the lume points on the periphery of the dial. The case is rather durable as well
Fedex rang, & voila...my Stowa airman auto is on my wrist! What a cool watch.....I like the military/industrial look in my watches...this my second old school pilot watch. Stowa has excellent fit & finish, very legible dial & hands, terrific lume, very cool old style strap. The fit on wrist is sweet, it disappears on wrist..well tailored like a Saville Row suit. I even like the "ticking" sound this watch makes! Well gotta go see some accounts, make some sales...so I can support my watch "habit"regards, Dr. Rindler
Hi all. I have my grandfather's Hamilton Coronado which he got new c. 1929 when he went to college. It sat in a drawer for the last 12 years, and is in great shape - it started immediately upon winding, and is keeping great time. However, it needs a face crystal since it is missing a sliver on one side - not really noticeable but definitely cracked. The watch has great sentimental value (and is beautiful) so I would like to wear it everyday as my grandfather did, so I definitely feel that the crystal needs replacing. I've done some research on line and cannot get a real good idea of how to find a crystal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I have it cleaned or otherwise leave it alone since it seems to run fine? Thanks. - john(BTW, I also posted this request on classic vintage watch forum, but this appears to be a more active site - sorry for the double post for those who frequent both)
It just arrived today. If anyone is interested, ask for Diane.
This is probably my most comfortable 47mm on the wrist because of the low weight.
