- This watch is so cute. I have already recieved a lot of positive comments on it. The face of the watch is pretty which is great for reading the time but can be a bit awkward on your wrist

Breitling IB011012/a693-tt wrist watches news:
This Borel & Courvoisier is one of the nicest examples of mid 19th century engineering you can find . The movement is made from german silver , so the material can be polished .All the beveled bridges are done before cleaning .Before :After:Overall view The watch is key wound and set .I think the key gaurds are nicely done ;These watches were hand made and hand finished . The time keeping ability rivals ANY chronometer made today. The time and effort that went into making these pieces is astounding ,as was the price . A watch like this would set you back as much as a small summer house on the water .
Just got this note from my local boutique...
I am just curious how many people here switch your watch band yourself? and how often do you do it?Myself is eyeing on a strap for my new SMP 300m, just a bit hesitate to do so as I am afraid I will scratch the lug.And if you it yourself, where you get the tools from?Cheers,
Just looking to educate myself on the actual brand of Patek Philippe, and how they assemble their watches etc, just to have an idea of how things work.I was asked by a friend why they were so expensive, and though I gave a fair explanation, I feel like I should know more about it, since I am looking to own one later this year! According to this website.Shoppist: How long does it take to craft a Patek watch?Stern: An example, a simple movement is minimum four years of work before you can present it. A complicated one, we’re talking about six years approximately. And a very complicated one, like a minute repeater or a tourbillon, this is about eight years. Is this legit?4 years for a simple three hand watch? From this site.phillymag/shoppist/20...ppe-president/Edit. Does anyone know where I can get exact information about their movements? How many parts, etc.?Thank you!
Well here I am posting my first thread in the Patek Section. I never once thought I would own a Patek yet along anything nicer than a 16710. Saying that I must thanks Takuya, Ken HL65, Mike Kilyung, Chris Cwin, and Mike Goog53 These fine gents answered questions and one would say enable! Without further hesitation! Here is my 5711 my first Patek!!! Thanks again all!!!
