Breitling AB041012/G719-leather-black-tang wrist watches news:
The Swatch Group is the largest watch maker in the world, with a highly complex vertically integrated manufacturing system with a ton of subsidiary and partner companies, as well as watch brands. The goal has always been for each watch component to be made by a company under the Swatch Group Umbrella. They've become so good, that their purchasing of companies and manufacturing arms makes them the premier maker of parts; especially movements. Swatch purchased ETA from Eterna many years ago, which was one of it's wiser decisions. ETA is the premier maker of fine watch movements in the world. They don't produce the highest volume of movements overall, but certainly the highest volume of fine watch movements. Many brands rely on ETA as a source of movements. There are alternatives, but ETA is really the only place to go for most companies' needs. Last year, ETA announced that it would cease to provide movements to watch companies outside the Swatch Group due to high demand. Many feared the
Is there an accepted protocol for setting four-hand watches (GMTs, Explorer IIs)? What hand should be set first, etc.? Assume the date needs setting as well. Thanks in advance,Wink==============
Hi,I apologize if i'm posting this in the wrong section as i'm new to the forum. I'm hoping that someone can provide an explanation to my current situation.Through reading the forums i decided to purchase my first automatic Hamilton watch.I had my watch for a month now. The watch has completely stopped on me 5-6 times already. Here is the list of event:*After the watch has stooped*1) I manually wind up the watch - i give it about 40 winds2) Wear the watch for the whole day from 7 am to 9 pm3) Take the watch off from 9 pm to 7am4) repeat the process for 3-4 days5) watch stops completely. I pick it up give it a gently shake6) place the watch back on the desk - runs for 2 hours then completely diesI never had an automatic watch before but is this normal? it's really annoying how i have to set the time and wind up the watch every 3-4 days even after wearing it the previous day.I brought my watch back to the AD for warranty - i'm not sure what they will do. Has anyone had this happen to the
Hey all,I recently purchased an AP ROC 26320st with the black dial. I'd like to know if it's possible to swap my black dial, with the factory white dial. Could I send the watch to AP and have them make this swamp? Would experts on this forum discourage this? I can't see how this would bring the value of my piece down, as the 26320st is a universal ref # for both black and white dials. Other than cost, are there any negative side effects' to swapping on these dials? Thanks,BostonRolexIG: pcakes508
I came across this on eBay and it caught my eye. I'm still not sure if I like it (it's a bit of a monstrosity), but I haven't seen one like it before, so thought I'd ask you experts for additional info..ebay/itm/Omega-Automa...#ht_476wt_1417
