Cartier Calibre Chronograph Watch
In 2010 Cartier released a brand new collection of men's watches called the Calibre. It was rather revolutionary for the brand for a couple of reasons, bringing Cartier's men's collection into the 21st Century. It was also a mass produced watch that contained an in-house made Cartier movement - something that previously only existed in their most high-end pieces.I knew the Calibre would be a hit from the start when I first discussed it here. It was handsome, the right size, and very much what a modern guy wanted in a Cartier. Hublot is a brand that I respect a great deal. Every brand loves to state that they are forward-thinking and revolutionary and innovative and care about society and make the best watches But Hublot is a brand that is doing a tremendous job with all of the above. Do you think this can harm anything ?
I accidently noticed that a magnet placed on the watch-back at the 8 o'clock position will stop the watch. It's a nice way to stop the watch to allow time to catch-up to correct time without have to pull stem and reset and wait to click back in place. I noticed it when I read that the new parachrome spring is un-affected by magnets. I put a magnet to my 2005 sub, and it stopped. I tried it on my new GMTIIc and it also stopped. ?? While confused why the new GMT with a parachome spring would stop, it didn't bother me too much. I am now wondering....Am I magnetizing the mechanical wheel and spring? Could this affect the watch in the long-run? Any thoughts or opinions from you guys? Bob

Quick Help with Pricing this Zodiac.....
Hi guys.....someone on another forum I belong to ( about ADHD, not another watch forum) .....has been asking about a watch for her husband .....she is an attorney, and of adequate means to get any of the watches I currently have .....Here's the Zodiac that I was trying to time last weekend, and it runns very fast ......it's an automatic, 17 jewel, and I think it might be 60s ? ......the last time I had an asymmetric watch , it was a Wittnauer, and I sold it for $400,.....I believe that asymmetrical watches are fairly rare, and I do love the crown at 2 o'clock.....the watch is running fast .....and will need to be cleaned immediately......other than that, Jerry didn't tell me of any obvious problems it has ....the condition is pretty good, with some patina on the dial, and the crystal does have a few visible scratches.....the case is in pretty good shape ....So are Wittnauer and Zodiac watches that are comprable, and if not, which is the better watch ? .....I suspect that the Zodiac is
