- I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas and while I was wrapping it my 23 year old son came in and tried to talk me in to giving it to him or at least order him one. So I think it will be a hit.

- This is a great piece. A wonderful start to a collection, or a great addition to one. Very classy, but ...

U-Boat 2269 wrist watches news:
page 9 was LED models, so I skipped it.
This is a solid 14KYG, rectangular Longines belonging to a relative of mine. I don't believe the crystal to be original. It is faceted into thirds where the lines of the case would seem to call for a crystal with a center facet. I don't have the movement number, as I returned the watch after re-attaching the crystal and buffing the case. From the reference this would appear to be a Pres. Roosevelt but, the three diamond dial isn't consistent. Does anyone have a thought as to what it might be?
Dear Patek Community, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Calatrava 3960 vs the 5022. How do they differ in mechanics, subtle design features, prestige, resale value, wrist wear, etc.? Visually, they appear almost identical. What does the 150 anniversary watch (3960) really 'mean' in horological circles? Where does the price gap between these watches stem from? Hi Guys,I have been enjoying my Patek 5980R for almost a year. Although it is a beauty, I can't help but feel it might be a bit small on my wrist (my wife doesn't think so but I do). I am 6ft and 250lbs (115kg)I have recently been offered a straight trade for a like new 48mm Arnold Allstars. What would you suggest for my one and only daily watch?
Just got a 305 and I tried on the second strap that comes with it (the kevlar strap with the friction buckle). The strap seems really long (which I guess makes sense if you are wearing it over a wet suit). At first I thought it was going to be a cool alternative strap...but I can't imagine I'll use this strap for day-to-day usage. Does anyone use this aside from when diving?
