Invicta 21762 wrist watches news:
having been told my lovely SM120 MF is fundamentally flawed, in that it has a slightly covex glass, this got me wondering about the issue a little more deeply.on first thought, it might seem something of a design flaw to have the glass exposed to knocks. but being flat only reduces this exposure rather than eliminating it. also, for a dive watch, convex glass has the advantage of being able to withstand higher pressures for a given glass thinckness. then i realised that it's far cheaper to get the glass replaced than to get a replacement case.so, for me this seems to be a non-issue. but i'm still left wondering if i've covered all the bases in my assessment of this issue.i'll just add that the SM120 MF hasn't got any AR coating to scratch off.
I bought this watch for three reasons. 1) In college, Schlitz was the beer of choice because it was always cheap, though their dark beer is world class 2). The dial seemed mother of pearlish and was unique as far as the Elgins I've come across. 3) I have an illness.I had to do a little self repair to it, as most of the black enamel was gone in the rectangular spots. I bought some black enamel paint and pointy, small brush, and filled in the appropriate holes. Other than that, I cleaned the dial a bit, buffed the crystal, and polished back and case. The dial, besides the Schlitz logo, has a pearlescent, sunray appearance with a gold line running horizontally across the middle and the second hand dial has pronounced gold markers. As I said, I just assume this is a custom Clubman, because besides the dial and hands, it has the same case and movement. The movement is Elgin's manual 680, with 21 jewels and it is marked as "adjusted". At some point, I'll replace the brown band with a bla
hello again guys,I'm kicking this around some, and with so many choices in both new Desktops or a replacement for a Desktop (17.3" Laptops); I'm wondering what you use?And what you would suggest & why? Thanks in advance, Jimmy
How's the RG bezel holding up to scratches?Just wondering as considering this pieceCheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I¡¯ve done a search but I haven¡¯t found any relevant information. I want to get a 28mm TT Datejust, possibly with diamonds on the dial. I want to buy new as I¡¯m planning to have this one and only watch for many years to come. It¡¯s difficult for me to get to the CBD but I do live in Sydney. I have been planning on making a day trip to the few ADs in Sydney, but I thought I should get some advice on what to expect with regards to stock levels before getting my hopes up. Additionally, I have family in Hong Kong, and my parents will be going there later this month. As far as I know the prices aren¡¯t so different especially with our exchange rate- but if it¡¯s way easier to get what I want over there I¡¯m tempted to just ask my parents look into it for me (obviously I would prefer to physically buy it myself but I should take this opportunity if it¡¯s really difficult to get what I want here). Thanks!
