Chopard 161278-5005 wrist watches news:
So, Rolex has increased their prices (like many other watch brands) quite a bit, despite a very strong downturn in the economies of the US & Europe. The 'reasons' range from higher demand (which very few probably believe) to metal prices to currency fluctuations.Well, reading the release of the 2010 COSC certifications yesterday, I saw an interesting trend, and one that 'bucks' what the manufactures and dealers say - global demand is not only strong but growing. Now Rolex does not release actual sales, but the majority of their models are COSC certified, and the percentage of COSC certified models vs. the not has not changes much over the years (the ND Sub is the only exception I think). So COSC certifications are a pretty good indication of sales. Not exact for that year, as not every movement is sold the same year it's certified, but for year-year comparisons it's probably pretty close. So in:2000 - Rolex certified 635,209 movements2002 - 814,720 movements2006 - 710,752 moveme
After dozens of tries (not serious ones) I finally won an auction for a vintage Swiss watch. Not my first choice, but well within what I want to pay at the moment. motivate-awesome.jpgThis pic is from the auction, I'll post pics when I receive it in a few weeks.
Hello all,I'm new to the forum, so here's the problem. I got this watch back in 2012 and it worked fine up until about December 2014. I noticed the time was faster than usual, it was going almost an hour faster after I timed it with the clock on the pc and after about an hour or so the time was much faster. So I'm confused as to what needs to be done. should I take in to get it serviced? I've tried looking for it on the Longines website but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. I've attached pics. Can someone tell me if this a model that was offered by Longines and recommend a good watch service company in the NYC area?Thank you all for any help offered.IMG_7287.JPGIMG_7288.JPGIMG_7289.jpg
I was looking on the sales forum and I keep seeing new posts that say only "bump". What does that mean?
Hi, I have an old Omega Seamaster, I attach the pic. The pic is very bad but the watch seems new. How old is it please? Winding up is manual. What value can this old Omega Seamaster get? Thanks, Fox
