Vacheron Constantin Vacheron Constantin 51214 wrist watches news:
Well it is almost summer now and I am bored with my one and only one Sub for the last few years. I would like to make some changes without spending too much money. I am just wondering if anyone has a photo of a Sub with NATO straps or leather straps. BTW, has anyone ever tried to use a Panerai style of straps on his Sub?
If you enjoy o2afa67's great Breitling pics and want more.I found a group on Flickr that looks like he's supporting almost singlehandedly Check outflickr/groups/breitling/pool/He has about 296 contributions - well done Ron
"You see, she was gonna be an actress,And I was going to learn to fly.She took off for the footlights,I took off for the sky."...Harry ChapinFishing on the 'bay last Sunday night resulted in my landing of not only a Seiko Credor, but this previously loved baby, a Flightmaster!!!....she was born around 2008....a Grail of mine(and others), she is a crown jewel in my chrono collection....she should be arriving late this week...at some point soon, I'll do a comparison of it with my Omega Speedy(its' dial isn't as busy), which is also an icon of a previous generation.....probably also compare it to my VX200 because they are both of a similar style and size, but s/b vastly different in weight(Flightmaster case constructed of titanium while the Accutron is an anchor!!!).....another Grail of mine is a Carrera 1887 chrono...it having a modified 6S37 movement s/b an interesting comparison as well...I feel the Flightmaster harkens back to the 70's and somehow....Seiko Flightmaster 6S37A movement(
I had some straps that I ordered a while back, One is the GP strap with red which I bought used and the other is a strap I bought from AP bands, I think it is the Ruebens Barrichello with white stitch. Both are a great change to the rubber. I really like the AP bands one, but I have had a hell of a time trying to fit it. I bent one screw bar in the process and I am ready to send it back for crappy fitment issues. Too bad, it¡¯s a nice strap for the SS. Anyway, here are some pics of my experiment this afternoon! So this question goes out to anyone who owns a Rolex they consider to be a tool watch. If you have a SubC, Explorer, ExplorerII, DSSD etc. is there a situation when you would not be happy wearing your watch ?Would you wear it to go climbing up a rock ? Snowboarding down the side of a big mountain ? White water Rafting ? Basically I'm asking even if you own a watch that is considered extremely rugged, when do you draw the line and say nope, not risking my Rolex on that.
