This just arrived today. I bought this watch from the original owner's granddaughter and her husband.Apparently he wore it until it stopped running and then put it away. It is unpolished and the movement needs a mainspring. It has been verified to my satisfaction as all original. I would like a strap and a bund if anyone knows where I can get quality straps. I will also get a bracelet for it as soon as I decide which one to put on this watch. =) maverickI took a few quick pics before it is off to the watchmaker. Indiglo & Heuer
I was thinking the other day how cool I think the Indiglo feature on Timex watches is and wondering why the serious dive watch makers don't use something similar and then I saw this image of an old Heuer watch that has the full dial illuminated. Indiglo was introduced in 1992 yet Heuer became TAG Heuer in 1985 which means that this type of lume already existed nearly a decade or more before Timex/Indiglo came out.So, my question is, are there a lot of other higher end watches out there that use the full dial lume feature and why isn't this technology more prevalent in dive or any other watch styles?
