Say hello to the Seiko SKXA33 200M Auto Diver!
Many of you know my story with this particular Seiko diver:{I gave this watch to my cousin Frank. He's a klutz with anything mechanical. So he's my cousin through marriage, and I wanted to welcome him to the family with a Seiko automatic. I had given (almost) every male (and a few females in the family) a new Seiko automatic...as I introduced the family to the world of automatics. In his (lack of) care, it fell 5 feet down from off the top shelf of the bookcase, and onto his ceramic tile floor, but it survived. During Easter dinner, I saw that he wore the watch with the crown unscrewed to the 1st position...When I asked why in the heck he wears it that way, he said that he likes it that way because he doesn't have to bother with screwing/unscrewing the crown. That INSANE behavior of his, and me witnessing all of it, made me regret the gift so much that I had to find another one for me, and treasure it more.}The Seiko SKXA33 200m Automatic Diver might just very well be the forgotten SKX

Starting the year properly
2010 was a good year for me, I cycled through many watches, some lasting weeks, others with permanent places in my collection. Some of my favorite additions include a vintage Stowa Chrono, Lum-Tec's M21, and Seiko's SARB035. While these are all great watches, I found myself wanting to take a step up and focus on higher quality watches in 2011 rather than quantity. To this end, I promptly made 2 acquisitions to open my year. First up, an early 90's serial Rolex Submariner 14060This pick up was totally out of character for me. I have never bought into the Rolex scene and frankly, harbored some less than flattering opinions about their owners (ashamedly). This all started to change with exposure and education, I started to become fascinated by their vintage models. I had to see for myself. I can't describe the feeling I had when first handling this watch, in a moment, it all 'clicked' and I finally got what all the fuss was about. Honestly, I struggled for a moment and thought to myself "

GMT Bezel Insert Dimensions
Hello all my first post in this forum. I'm curious about the inner and outer dimensions of the GMT bezel insertsfor both the 39mm and 42mm models. Are the Debaufre models in any way consistent with the aftermarket bezels you see advertised on various websites?CQ

Can you negotiate
I am considering buying the PO 42mm but the online price I can find is ?250 cheaper than the high street stores. Can you negotiate with high street chains or are they unable to offer discounts? I would prefer to buy from a known high street shop but ?250 is a big difference in price.
