Funky tool dive watches will always have a home on worn&wound. There is something inexplicably charming about them. Sometimes they are too big, sometimes too clunky, but they are kind of always fun to test and try out. The biggest problem with them is variation. Many brands have nearly the same designs, sometimes suspiciously so, making them become tiresome and tedious. So, when a brand comes along with something unique, it tends to grab our attention.We've talked about Makara before, when we got the chance to handle a prototype of their first watch, the Octopus. It was a fun watch with a unique design that sold out quickly. As a follow up Makara recently released a new watch called the Sea Turtle. Available only in bronze, but with a bunch of dial options, it takes the distinct look of the Octopus in a new direction. The Mall that wouldn't or couldn't sell me a watch strap
Went to the local mall today. Stopped at 4 jewelery stores. Four! None of them carried watch bands. None! Several of them were national chains. Not sure if the clerks couldn't be bothered for such a small sale (it wasn't like they were overwhelmed with customers) or if they really don't carry watch straps.I thought, maybe I'll go to the Dakota Watch kiosk and see if they carry any premium bands (I've bought a couple from themthey are okay, but I'm looking for something better). So how big is the kiosk? 12 by 6 feet? I lean on the counter, not three feet from the clerk, well within her peripheral vision. She's on her iPhone. She doesn't see me. HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE ME? OR HEAR ME PUT MY BAG ON THE COUNTER? So, I decided, I'll just stand there and see how long it takes her to see me.Eight minutes and I gave up. Size does matter
One would think a couple of millimeters here or there would not be that big of a deal but I have found that a watch that is not 40mm causes my brain to go locoso much so that I am putting up for sale a really nice watch that is 42mm. Has anyone else found themselves in such a state where they own a really nice watch but the size is off for them yet there is no rational reason to have such a perception? I recall starting out in the world of watches thinking 38mm would be the max and was able to get to 40mm but somehow my brain cannot get to 42mm.

Want to learn more about my Longines
I recently picked up a used Longines Lungomare l3.632.4 men and have conducted various online searches to learn more about this watch but cannot find any information including value, age, etc. Was just hoping someone could shed some more light on it for me. Speedmaster Finaly here
I finaly received my Speedmaster... And i have to say this watch realy sings to me. Feels great on my wrist and just seems to be a bit more substantual for sum reason.. IDK i guess its kind of hard to explain. But i do love it.
