Inherited an Omega - but what is it?
Hello guys.So just did a Google search and found the forum, I'm now hoping someone out there can help me.I was recently given my Grandfathers watch by my Father and I'd like to find out more about it.It was basically handed to me in a brown box with no information regarding model etc. The only bit of information I was told is that it was bought in 1968.The watch and strap are both gold and as you can see the face says Seamaster. That's as far as my Sherlock Holmes skills go.I did go to the Omega shop here in Hamburg to get it valued however they do not do valuations and suggested I go to a pawn dealer. I've never been to a pawn dealer, yet imagine I wouldn't get a very accurate valuation from such a place.Any information would be much appreciated. I look forward to your replies.Over to you.

the crown has been acting a bit funny. It feels a little loosey goosey and when i turn it, maybe its an optical illusion but it doesnt seem as if the knob rotates evenly...talked to another TRF'er would had similar concerns and told me to send it in since it could affect it's water resistance (and hence, void warranty should damage happen since I didn't take care of it).My Steelie Diver has been a Daily Wearer since I bought it last year in May. It's seen a few knicks and dings on the rather large bezel. The question now: do I let it keep collecting knicks and bumps? or do I get a fresh bezel put on now that I know how to wear it without ever bumping into anything? (I feel as if any of the cosmetic blemishes I induced onto the bezel were within the first month...after that I got used to compensating for how much real estate my watch takes up when walking and doing daily things)third year warranty extension also being done while it's there. Considering joining the AP club.....
I've been eyeing all of the great discussion and fantastic watches on this AP forum, and I'm ready to take the plunge. Thinking about a Rose Gold version, and the RO Chronograph 41 mm, with the all black dial, has caught my attention. Anyone on the forum have this model? Was originally thinking of going with a white dial, but when I saw the black dial in the AP boutique, it looked very sharp. Couple of concerns though. Thinking that the all black dial maybe does not fully showcase the great detail on the face. Also, will the gold bezel easily scratch. I plan on wearing this watch as much as possible, so obviously want to make the right choice. Any of your thoughts on this model or any other Rose Gold that you would recommend, would be much appreciated.

What will be the model number?
HelloI saw an Omega watch with a leather bracelet that had a person that was similar to the Coaxial Master of 41mm but that did not have in the dial the small numbers that it has this around the bezel and that the calendar was at the height of the number 3 not at the height of 6. It does not say on the dial more than Omega. No more words. I do not think it's a chronometer. Do they have an ideal model? To know the price, I was interested. Thank you very much.

This one or THAT one?
In checking prices of both brand new and used Date/No Date SubC models, it would appear that one could buy a brand new 114060 for the price of a lightly used (several years old) 116610 give or take.Given the choice of new vs used date/no date, which would you choose? Personally, I like both models and having no date is not a deal breaker for me. I do like the idea of buying brand new as well. (full disclosure) If both were brand new and priced the same I would select date. I am considering trading a 16613 TT blue towards the purchase of a 114060 or 116610. I am a one Rolex owner and that is likely to stay that way for the next few years anyway. Thanks in advance for opinions.
