?Round up by Kenny YeoIn the second edition of our bi-weekly news roundup, we check out the new MB&F HM3 Megawind, explore the science behind black watches, learn about an indestructible Omega watch, and check out previews of two watches that will debut at Basel World 2013.Do note that at the time of writing, I haven¡¯t had the chance to include some of the early previews of other noteworthy watches from Basel World 2013. Rest assured that in my next round-up I will be featuring some of my favorite watches from the show.1. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GoodPlanet GMT WatchFans of Omega¡¯s Seamaster Planet Ocean watches rejoice, for Omega has just debuted the Planet Ocean GoodPlanet GMT. The watch comes in a 43.5mm case and will use Omega¡¯s caliber 8605, which also sees action in the Aqua Terra GMT. Although technically not the Planet Ocean GMT, this special version, which was launched in conjunction with the ¡°Planet Ocean¡± movie, is a good indication of what the regular Planet Ocean G
Chrismas is coming....But I still have no idea...Please give me some suggestions, thank you very much!
Hi guys very much a rolex guy but love vintage omega. Just picked this one up and thought I,d share.
Chatting watches with a colleague in work today about Rolexes, and he got talking about his safe queen Omega Ploprof 600. The bracelet is completely unworn in brand new condition with not one scratch and the watch itself he reckons only a handful of times on the other strap which is incredible since its from the early 70's. He sourced it from a collector in Israel. When he recieved he had it serviced and authenticated by Omega just to be sure. Whilst it was away Omega phoned him as they wanted to buy the steel bracelet of him. They hadnt got this particular strap on show in their museum and wanted it as it was split new. He declined, saying he would only sell the whole package, wise move I think. Hes a bit of a dark horse when it comes to watches, with impeccable taste I have to say. He also has a Sub and a Sea Dweller to keep the Omega company in the safe! Anyways hes going to bring the Ploprof into work next week to show me in Person, but he emailed me a few photos of it in
The 5370P is widely considered to be one of the best new watches launched by Patek in many many years.I am a big fan for the following reasons:-It exudes Patek DNA throughout - the case, the movement, the dialBreguet numerals on a black enamel dial - doesn't get much betterA perfectly proportioned case Superb enamel dial In-house PP movementThe question is - would you trade in a number of Patek watches to fund the purchase of the 5370P which would then become your only Patek (with a few Rolex's as daily beaters?)Details on the watch are in the link below:-.patek/en/mens-watches...ions/5370P-001
