Breitling A13055 wrist watches news:
My father recently passed and I inherited two watches that had belonged to his father. One is a gold pocket watch with open face, and the dial is labeledF.C. Bode Co. The second is a gold wristwatch tha says Grogan co. in script across the face. Can anyone shed some light on these two?
I own a Sparta with lithium battery that I bought in 2010 to keep my Rolex Perpetual on time. When I started wearing the Rolex on a daily basis, I could see that over night it kept losing time. As a result I have had to reset it every morning, now running the risk of wearing out the winder mechanism. I have sent Orbita 2 emails within the last 10 days asking if there was any way I could speed up the Sparta. How can I tell if it's set for 10 vs 15 TPD? The watch winder came with very little information. Since I've heard nothing from Orbita, perhaps someone here on the forum has some ideas.
I just recieved a new Bernhardt dive watch. It looks like it will prove to be exactly what i was wanting.I was looking for a dive watch that had at least 200 meter water resistance, was no bigger than 42mm, and NO date.I would like to have gotten a Rolex Submariner no date, but I wanted to stay below $500.00 if possible. The reason I did not want a date feature is because I wanted only the most basic features on the dial, to keep it clean and easy to read. Besides, I can't read the little bitty date that adorn most watches anyway. Have you ever tried reading a date on a watch under water? It's almost impossible. Why would you want to anyway? A date on a dive watch seemed ridiculous, especially since i couldn't read it to begin with.Like what? You're down on the bottom looking at a sunken ship, or taking photos, and you look at your watch and go, "Oh no! It's the 15th! I have a dentist appointment today! So you surface and take off to your appointment? Can anyone explain t
I love decorated movements. I think they show off the watch maker's art. But, of course, they usually cost more. How do you feel about them?
