Tag Heuer WAY1110.BA0910 wrist watches news:
Most wristwatches made today are hardly state-of-the-art, but rather continue a tradition of watch making set in motion long ago. One reason many collectors are interested in vintage watches is because many of them represent important achievements in technology and functionality that we take for granted today. watches-dealer has done its homework and brought to you what we feel are the top 10 most technically important mechanical wrist watches. By the 1920s, consumers had accepted wristwatches as practical and pocket watch sales had started to decline dramatically. By 1930, the ratio of wristwatches to pocket watches was about 50:1.During the past 100 years, the mechanical wristwatch has seen many changes, even seeming to come close to demise. Important electronic watches will merit a list unto themselves.? Let's have a look at mechanical wrist watch history and some of the technological milestones that have helped it evolve. The Chronograph? The chronograph is the most popular complicat
Here's a noob question for the experienced WIS's among us: Where did these common bracelet styles come from? I've only recently started paying much attention to watches and have noticed that certain styles of bracelets pop up over and over. Pretty much every brand I've looked at offers Oysters, Jubilees, Presidentials, etc, unless the bracelet is integrated and hard to swap. I associate those names with Rolex, but again I'm very new to all this. Were these all originally Rolex designs? When did they become so popular?-Mark
I found a service that appears to be capable of polishing/restoring gold plated watches using a new technology, unfortunately, this jeweler has declined to service any of the watches I have presented to him. So I still have not found a solution to the problem of how to obtain restoration service on a gp watch after a few years of wear. I hope to find another jeweler that has one of these new Starweld Microwelders that this jeweler employs, and hope that another jeweler will provide restoration service on a wider range of timepieces, not discriminating against the ones I want to buy.Any thoughts?
As the title says, i just realised that i cant find my warranty booklet for my Navy ap roo. Two questions for anyone who may have gone through this:1. I know ap can send a certificate of authenticity as a replacement if I send my watch in. Question is how long does this process take, and what does this certificate look like?2. If I should want to sell the watch in the future, does having a certificate of authenticity over the original booklet affect the value adversely? I still have the original watchbox. Thanks in advanceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
